Chapter 13

Aidan was furious but he was sure to be careful while driving, he was on his way to go and see his lawyer personally, by going to her house and talking to her about everything with Jada in there with them, of course Evan was going to come. Aidan parks in front of her house, takes Evan out of the car and goes tot he door, Aidan knocks and waits a little bit before she answers, the door opens and Linda looks at Aidan surprised, "Aidan! What's going on, I thought we were going to meet sometime this week," "That time had to be today, I came to vent to you about what Ivy did to my son," Linda looks down, "Is that your son?" "Yes, it is, and I need to tell you the reason why I have him, I bought one of Ivy's friends with me, if you don't mind," "Not at all, but of you come in," Jada and Aidan walk through the door and Aidan puts Evan on the floor for him to walk by himself, "You two can follow me," Linda says guiding them out of the entrance and into the kitchen, "Wine, Beer?" "No, I'm good," "I'll take one of those," Jada said, grabbing a glass. After Linda got Jada's drink, she sits down at the dining room table and folds her arms, "So what has this girl gotten you into now?" Linda asks with a smirk on her face.

Jada starts with when Ivy got arrested, she didn't know how to word it because it was a long story, way before Aidan decided to fight for Evan, "She's been doing this to years to plenty of other guys, she would try to get money out of them because she had a child by them, sometimes, she knew it wasn't the dad, she did it for the hell of it," "And what else?" "I think she's been hitting my son," "Why do you say that," "Because every time we mention his mother, he puts on this sad face and he's giving off vibes that there's been something more going on," "Does he have marks?" "No, but he does cringe," "How much?" "He's been doing it sense he's been with me," Aidan said, "I would see that happen sometimes when I was around Ivy, but I just didn't ask questions about it," Jada said, Linda wasn't taking down notes, but the entire time, she didn't miss a word.

"Okay, so you two just need to relax, okay? The court date is still on and theirs no way she can get out of this," "How do you think that??" "Because she's done it over and over and over again, that stuff follows her," "Wait, but how? We don't know if the other baby fathers pressed charges on her and make her go to court," "Exactly, we have to contact each and ever one of them and get evidence," Linda says, "But why?? Wouldn't that be wasting time," Aidan said, grabbing his sons hand, "O r we just get what she did to Evan out of her," Jada said, silence went around the room, "That sounds like a real plan," Linda says, "No! wait stop. What are we doing??" Aidan said looking confused, "I'm going to take her under questioning, now she can't get away from me," "How would she be able to get away from you if she had a chance?" Jada asked, "Dead," Linda says with a straight face, "Wow, I didn't know it was that intense," Aidan says, "That's because you're not dealing with my bad side, you're on the good side," Linda says getting up from the table, Aidan and Jada looked at each other, "So what will happen now? Me and my son have n o where to live," "You don't have to worry about that, I already set that up,"

Aidan and Jada smiled at each other, " You guys just don't worry, when I call you, that's when I will need you, maybe just Aidan and his son in one of the cases," Jada got up from the table and Aidan followed behind her, "Alright, hit me up if anything changes," Aidan says waving at her, "You have a good day, Mr. Aidan," Linda says closing the door after them. Jada goes to the car and opens the door, asking for Evan and putting him in his car seat, Aidan gets on the drivers side and gets in the car, he starts the engine and pulls off. They head back to the bar, soon as they hit the high way, Aidan gets a text form Linda, "Oh, I forgot to give you the information of your place," Aidan smiles again, he puts the phone down and continues to drive safely on the road, when they get back to the bar, he parks the car and responds to Linda's text message, "Send it to me, I'm not driving anymore," Aidan taps send, Jada gets out the car and takes Evan with her into the bar. Linda sends him all of the information. His heart was jumping for joy, he was going through the same stupid things over and over again, he realizes faith really does work.

Aidan unbuckles his seatbelt and head outside the car, locking the car doors. Soon as he got into the bar, he didn't see Jay for a second, he walks around to look around for Jay and his son, he spotted Jada and Evan, but no Jay. He goes tot he back of the bar where the bathrooms are and find a trail of red spots, they were going towards the girls bathroom, Aidan didn't want to panic, but he did feel a little jumpy. Opening the girls bathroom door, he sees a hooker laying on the ground strangled and cut open, her body was draining in a big puddle of blood, Aidan immediately gets out of the bathroom and goes on a real hunt to find Jay, he finally spots her coming out of the kitchen, "Jay! There's something you have to see!" Aidan says in a panicked voice, "What?? What is it??" Jay and Aidan run to the girls bathroom and see the body, Jay was instantly in tears. "NO! Maria!," Jay gets on her knees and hugs the body covered in blood, "You knew her?" "Yes, she practically raised me," Jay responds, sobbing, Aidan didn't know that at all, he had no idea that Jay was half raised by a hooker, "She said this was going to happen to her, why would she keep going if she knew," Jay talking to herself, sobbing. Aidan did nothing put pat her on the back, then got her to let go of the body and wash off the blood.

Thirty minutes later, the police and the ambulance arrived, the whole bar was cleared out that night, Jay was sitting outside in the car with Aidan, Jada and sitting buckled up in his car-seat, Evan. "What do you want to do now?" Aidan asks Jay, whipping her tears away, "Well, sense the bar is closed down for a while, I cant afford my bills at my other home, the home that my family was living in," "Oh, the one you're living in now??" "Yeah, I make-- well use to make a lot of money off of what my grandfather use to do and taught me, this was his bar, it's sad to see it go down like this," Jay says with a sad tone in her voice, "I t may not be closed down forever," Aidan sais with a smile on his face, "You're going to get it back some how," "I don't know if I am, I live alone, you remember that right," Jay says still whipping her tears, Aidan stayed silent in the car, and spoke up, "Come with me," Jay's uncovered her face with her hands, "What?" "Come with me, I want to take care of you," a couple of tears fell from Jay's face, "Okay," Jada was in the back, pretty much happy for Aidan, "Hey Aidan, you can just take me home, you can borrow my car for a couple of months," Aidan got excited, "Oh really, well okay!" Aidan puts on his seatbelt, "Jay, put on your seat belt," "Okay," Jay puts on her seat belt and sits back.

Aidan starts the engine and moves out of the parking lot, he's headed straight for Jada's house. On the road, he was still thinking about how stuff is going right now, he's proud of himself for fighting for his son, and now he has him. He doesn't know what to do with the warmth feeling on the inside of his chest. As soon as they pull up to Jada's spot, Jada hops out of the car and thanks Aidan for the ride, Aidan get in reverse and pulls off to head to the new home he just got. "Now that we're living with each other, what do you want to do first?" Aidan asked Jay, "I honestly don't know, I never had a man take care of me before," Jay says in a shy tone, "Well, I'll just gave to surprise you then, right?" "I guess so," Jay says, blushing a little bit, "At least drop me off home so I can pack all of my stuff, give me a few days and I'll see what's going on with my bill," "Fine, you have my word," Aidan says. Aidan makes a U-turn and heads to Jay's house.

Jay was dropped off in a split second, she kisses Aidan bye and waves at him while he was driving off, Aidan looks in the rear view mirror, "You ready to go and see our new house little man?" He asks Evan, he smiles and laughs, Aidan is smiling back at him and driving to the location. Aidan stops at a stop light and listening to his music calm and peacefully, until a black Mercedes Benz pulled up at the stop light too, Aidan had his window up but the Mercedes widow rolled down and Aidan turned his head to look, just then he saw a gun pointing at his widow and raced off, the person holding the gun, shot once and didn't break anything. The Mercedes Benz races off with Aidan and chases him down the street, both cars pass a police car and the police car starts his engine and races off behind Aidan and the Mercedes. "Pull over, Now!" the police yelled over the microphone, the cars kept going. Aidan didn't know where to go with this, he was in serious trouble and the cop didn't realize it, until the Mercedes Benz got beside Aidan again, and shot again. The police immediately went into action and pulled out his gun, he pops the back left Mercedes Benz tire then the shooter aims for the policeman's head and shot! The bullet went clean through his skull, the police car starts to swerve violently.

The police car trips on its own metal and starts to flip down the highway where Aidan was and explodes, the Mercedes Benz is still going but slower than it was, Aidan was able to get away with his life safe and his sons life safe.
