3rd POV
A Lone Portal opened in the middle of Manhattan, letting the shriek of an ancient creature seep through the portal. A monster bending reality to try and get it's message heard...HELP ME
Meanwhile Clary Frey was walking down the hallway of the institution talking to Simon. When suddenly a loud sound made them both lean against opposite walls with their ears covered, bent down against the wall in pain. As the creature's screech of pain reached the Institution, but sadly Clary, Simon, and everyone else to hear it wouldn't understand what it was saying. When it stopped Clary and Simon looked at each-other and then ran back to the main room to see that everyone else was also slowly getting up from the experience. Clary and Simon went in different directions to check-up on people and see if they were okay. Then they were pulled aside into a conference room by Alec and Jace.
"What. Was. That?" Jace asked and Clary couldn't say anything because she was as shocked as everyone else was "was that what you heard from the Angel" Clary nodded.
"But that was much worse. It was like the creature, or demon, or whatever it was, was in pain. A lot of pain" she said and Simon nodded.
"But why did everyone else hear it too, that's what I don't understand, and pretty soon they are going to be coming into my office demanding what just happened" Alec said and Simon agreed.
"I wonder if any other vampires, or wolves, heard it too" he said and looked at Alec who seemed to be thinking about something.
"Well now would be a good time to find out" Alec said "I need you two to go over to Luke and as him if his pack has seen or heard about an uprising against the Institution, so that if there is we can be ready."
"Sure we'll go" Simon said looking at Clary to make sure that it was okay with her as well, and she nodded. An hour later they were ready and walking to the entrance of the Institution to go to Luke's pack at the Chinese Restaurant he ran.
??? POV
I could see the energy, I could smell the flowers on the other side, but I couldn't get to it, and it pissed me off. I Screeched in rage, and pain at the chains holding me back, letting me see, smell, and feel the power and freedom of the portal in-front of me, but not be able to actually use it, touch it, or pass through it to freedom. The others, nor the princes could see or feel it, they might be able to sense that something was different, but it was small and irrelevant enough to them that it didn't require their time to search for. Only I could see it, and only I could feel it, and I never knew why, but it's how I could travel easier and faster without being caught. Well at least that was how it should've been anyways, but ever since two of the three mortal Instruments, as the princes call them, have been 'recovered' by this valentine person. My portal powers haven't been working correctly.
Usually I am able to think of a place in Hell that I want to go to, which is usually the furthest away from the Princes of Hell themselves, but never outside of it, and that it why seeing, smelling, and being near the portal out of this realm was so torturous. Even worse than the blades that they've been using on me to cause me pain, but I've grown accustomed to them and they no longer hurt as much anymore. I tore my attention away from my thoughts and the portal as the cell door opened and one of the seven Princes of Hell, Asmodeus, came in and he smiled evilly. His form flickering and his eyes burning red and yellow with the scenes of humans killing, dying, burning, and storms of blood, lightning, and other earthly natural disasters causing death. I smiled, and he frowned this time.
"I'm actually a little happy to see you" I said and he smiled again
"So I can start where we left off a hundred years ago?" he asked before going deathly serious"because you shouldn't be" and I returned his seriousness.
"No so that I can finally tear you apart after you let me out of these chains" I said and he had a quick bark or laughter.
"You are never getting out of those chains" he said "and since when do you speak. You haven't for the past hundred thousand years while we cut your scaly body to ribbons. Constantly healing, destroying, hurting, and letting you heal from our inflections upon you. So why talk now, huh?" I went back to being silent again and he hummed in annoyance and slight, decreasing interest before turning and summoning a palate of 'tools' next to him. Floating in the air due to his dark magic.
This time they were white-hot and the smell of souls reached my nose, and I realized what those were. Soul metal tools, heated up to be more effective. I struggled and growled in the chains, but having a band around the neck, body, hips, legs, claws, a cover over my mouth so I couldn't burn him to ash, and bands around my wings. All connected to the floor, 'ceiling', and each-other with heavy Demon-Soul Metal chains that were impossible for me to break out of.
Asmodeus reached for the middle one, a thin, sharp knife that reeked of demon vemon, Angel-blood, human souls, and Drakon, not Dragon, the evil twisted creatures related to us, bone. All of them were made of Drakon Bone and it made me growl at the slaughter that they used just to get the rare, magical material for tortures. Asmodeus stopped an inch from it and he went under the tray and put on some thick, specially made, demon-gloves that allowed him to pick-up the cursed substance.
He slashed across my throat, letting the blood, my blood, black mixed silver, fall freely and he lapped it up like a dog and water, but with blood as it's substitute. Normally this would kill the creature, whether it was a vampire, seelie, fairy, elf, human, or werewolf, but for me. I was immortal, so all I could do was gurgle in pain as the pain set in. I closed my eyes and clenched my teeth as the burn set in sealing the cut up. Asmodeus frowned at that. Though the effect of the hot metal was a little delayed, it still worked the same. Searing shut the cut, but Asmodeus still got his fill of blood.
I growled as my vocal cords repaired and then I couldn't growl again as the poison from the venom seemed like acid. I wanted to tear at my throat, rip it out and let it grow back new, but the stupid chains wouldn't let me. I could feel my throat getting eaten away by the acid in the venom, and my vocal cords were completely destroyed. Then he cut into my body, just over the joint of my wings, going along the ridge of them till it stopped at the middle of my hips.
"I want to see what this venom does to your wings" he said "will they stay attached with the bone, or will they completely fall off from your body" I cried internally as the pain ran all across my back. Eating through my scales, my back, except for my spine. I silently screeched in pain and he sat in a chair watching as the venom spread. I could feel it eating through the membrane connecting my wings to my body. I barely felt the weight of the band trapping my wings to my body lifted for his experiment because I was in too much pain. The venom stopped just under my spine making a large hole where me flesh was, the membrane of my wings was now completely gone and it was slowly eating through my joint at my shoulder-blades, where my wings connected to my body and where I was able to control and move them.
It reached to my muscle and more weight was lifted, but I was too blind from the pain of it all to feel anything. My entire back was numb from the pain of the venom, and I couldn't help myself. Tears were spilled as my world was filled with a great pain. A waterfall was conjured and then frozen in-front of me so that I could see what happened. Asmodeus smiled evilly.
"Now you look better" he said and I looked up to see my greatest fear come true. I've been robbed of my wings, my freedom, my flight. I was now a grounded dragon, a creature doomed to eternal life on the ground. I was about to give up hope and then I saw that my throat had healed up, and I was about to smile and roar in glory and happiness, but I remembered that I was playing a weakling at the moment. I bashed my head on the mirror and it shattered into thousands of pieces cutting into my head, and I turned to the left making a shard re-cut my throat and Asmodeus bent down behind my head before touching my head seemingly gingerly. Before digging his claws into my head and laughing evilly.
"If only you could get your wings back, oh but you can't. This venom prevents all injured with it from healing, oh-well. I'll be back in a hundred years" he said and I looked at him with all the hate I had against him showing in my eyes.
Thanks for reading and I know that I posted the thing on my page, but I had to write this sooner or later otherwise I would've forgotten about the book idea, and the post would've been for nothing, but thanks for reading and I'll have another chapter out soon.
