3rd POV (I added Magnus to the group because he's a demon as well)

Magnus, Raphael, Simon, and Luke were standing next to each-other tied to ropes just in case something went wrong and then a glossy film started to form around the Portal.

"A force-field is forming around it" Magnus yelled and everyone stopped, and then Simon went up to the Portal and reached out, but three feet before he could touch the rip in the fabric of reality. He was blasted back as a sort of rippling pulse rippled across the entire field and discharged into Simon's hand making him fly back and hit Luke. Knocking them both down to the ground. Three hours had gone by and the shield still hadn't changed, power, shape, nor size, and neither had the portal. Magnus had been studying the portal for the entire time and then he stepped back with a look of horror on his face. Alec immediately went up to him and put his hands on his shoulders with encouragement and friendliness.

"What? What did you find out about it?" he asked and Magnus sat down thinking about how it could be possible, and if his father had really found him after all of these years. Alec helped him calm down, and once he was good enough to talk again he had everyone sit in a circle around him. About a hundred feet from the portal.

"So what did you find out about it?" Clary asked and Magnus tapped his fingers on his knee debating on how to tell them, and after seeing that no other reason could explain it. He just told them blunt and head on.

"The portal leads to the deepest, and worst level of hell, it is also the realm that my father, Asmodeus, visits from time to time to torture and torment a creature so dangerous that it was a rival to Lucifer himself" he said "I had read about many myths and folks about a monster that was so powerful it could destroy dimensions, but one day it went into hell, and couldn't get back out. Lucifer had realized how powerful it really was and cast it into the deepest level of hell in unbreakable chains so that it wouldn't overthrow him, or just destroy him and his realm. I hope for our sake that it is just a long dead myth, for all our sakes."

"Wait so you're saying that there's a creature just past that portal that could destroy the dimension of Hell if it wanted to" Jace said and Magnus nodded slightly.

"No, if it could" he said and Jace, as long as everyone else, were shocked by this news. Raphael was the first to stand up, and Magnus stood up as well and looked at him "I know what you're thinking Raphael, but it can't be done"

"Well if we found enough Warlocks then we could close it" he said defensively "you could close it" Raphael jabbed a finger in Magnus' chest, and Clary agreed with Raphael saying that it could work.

"No that's not how it works" he said "it made the portal, and only whatever created the portal can close it. It is too strong for us to forcibly close ourselves, and if we tried to then it would know and blast us away while it emerges through it" and as if the Portal heard this it brightened, and Alec had gotten half of the institution outside with swords ready to battle it if needed. They stood in battle formation, with swords, staffs, and a few spears and bows, ready to run the creature through if it proved hostile.

Then the Portal flashed, so bright that it blinded everyone around for a little while causing them all to drop their weapons and cover their eyes in pain. When the flash was gone a giant creature stood in-front of the portal. The force-field disappeared from around the Portal and the creature breathed black fire into the portal, and it went on fro so long that everyone was able to grab their weapons and get into ready position only to see the big creature breathing a constant wave of black fire into the Portal. Its feet were a black and purple at the front claws, and black and seemingly covered in fire on the back claws. Magnus looked at the creature in pure fear, and Simon, Luke, and Raphael were too shocked to think about anything, and all the others were in shock and slightly amazed by the beauty of the dangerous creature. Its eyes seemed to be glowing, the same color as the portal like it was connected to it somehow.
