Still Dragon's POV

I woke up to the sun on this planet shining in my eyes, and I looked above the railing to see that it was just rising, or it was dawn, and I was ready to train. I haven't trained in two-hundred thousand years due to being stuck in those chains for that long. Though I didn't eat, I got my nutrients from the poisonous air, the 'ground' I was on, the chains holding me prisoner, and the metal of the blades used for my torture. I jumped down and into the back-yard of the place before putting up a force-field about a hundred feet in length around me so that nothing else got hurt, and then I focused on my powers and formed a shadow of myself, literally. It knew all of my moves, used different things, used and did what I did, and copied my every move. That's why it was so hard to battle, because it was my shadow. I swiped through the air with my left paw and it did the same. I did a quick turn and lashed out with my tail and it paralleled my strike...good, so I grew to the size of a three-by-three grid of semi's and started to fight.

3rd POV

Clary was awoken by a loud rumble that made a book from her shelf fall to the floor with a boom. She got up and grabbed his sword just as a precaution before sitting on her bed and waiting for some yelling, screaming, or rumble of sound, but the thump just came again and again like an earthquake. She got out of bed and followed the vibrations to the courtyard, and she stood there for a second looking out for something unusual, and then something slammed against the air in-front of her. It was the shadow that the Dragon was training with, but she didn't know that, she tried to cut into it, but the force-field rippled and forced her away. She saw a run in the air in-front of her, and started to walk forwards through the force-field. IT felt like she was passing through a wall of gel, but she didn't care. At least until she got to the other side of that wall anyways, and she saw the Shadow on-top of the Dragon and she stood there in shock. The Dragon looked at her and the shadow looked the other way like it was copying the Dragon, or at least to Clary that is what it seemed like. The Dragon was covered in cuts from it because only a fatal blow would harm, well, kill the shadow mirror that the Dragon was training with, and though it would act exactly like the Dragon. The mirror couldn't be harmed unless killed by it's creator, and once the Dragon saw Clary, who was frozen in a mixture of fear, shock, and curiosity.

"What do you want Angel-blessed" the Dragon suddenly said to her, breaking Clary out of her trance of amazement, and then the Dragon and it's mirror disengaged and the Dragon walked sideways, and the Shadow copied, and then the Dragon backed up until it was at Clary's side.

"What is that" she asked it and it chuckled making the shadow mimic it's movement.

"That is a Shadow, my shadow, and I am using it to train" it said silently adding 'since I haven't been able to in two-hundred thousand years' and it looked at her careful of it's steps "You should've stayed on the other side of the field angel blessed, and now you won't be able to get out, and no one will be able to get in to help you if you are injured during my sparring, in which I am not responsible for and you need to know that" it said and then it looked at her "unless the angels decide to help you get back out, but I doubt they will because they like to help human curiosity, even if it kills the studied."

The dragon shot ahead and met it's shadow halfway, and they seemed to all out brawl, but really it was just the dragon trying to figure out a way to get past it's own techniques. For several hundred years it's done this and not found any way past, but it hasn't been able to find anything. The Dragon let out a wave of fire into the shadow's 'mouth' and waited hoping that that would do something, but it didn't and the shadow was still there mocking the Dragons helplessness...seemingly anyways. The Dragon huffed in annoyance and so did the Shadow, but a jet of fire came out of it as it did and the Dragon pushed away and got clear of it as it turned the grass underneath to ash.
