What It Takes To Be A Hero

{Near Tatooin Station} 

"Hey Katsuki, you and Midoriya go way back right?" a classmate asked as Katsuki walked with two of his classmates to the train station. "I've known both of them since we were kids. Our houses aren't far from each other so it was only natural we'd start to hang around each other." he answered, throwing a rock along the street. "Don't you think you went a little far this time? I mean even Hana-chan seemed to be pissed off, and she's usually so cheerful." the other classmate pointed out as Katsuki sighed loudly. "It's Deku's own damn fault. The shitty nerd doesn't know how the world works. Besides I'm just giving him a little guidance. You know, as a friend." Katsuki replied as he kicked a can. "Katsuki!" one of the boys yelled, prompting Katsuki to turn around. A grotesque slime-like creature loomed over him, ready to attack.

{Back at the building}

Silence fills the air as Izuku asked that question for the second time in his life. "I know I'm not strong like most people, and don't have a Quirk..." Izuku started, explaining his ambitions to the in front of him whom he greatly looked up to. Hanako noticed All Might is trembling as her brother carried on with his explanation. All Might, are you alright? I can tell you're struggling to keep your form she asks using her telepathy. I-I don't think I can hold it much longer All Might responded, finally reaching his limit. "All I want, is to help, no save people with a fearless smile." Izuku ends his long-winded speech, only to see a shroud of smoke surrounding All Might. Oh no...if Izuku sees this he'll freak out Hanako sighs in her head as it clears. 

A smaller version of All Might appears, a transformation from his muscular shape to a lanky human. Izuku and Hanako cover each other's mouths from preventing a scream to come from either of them. All Might sighed, a sense of embarrassment overcoming him as yet another person learned about his true form. "Alright listen up, kid. I'll explain everything to you, just promise not to tell anyone." he offered as Izuku nodded in agreement. All Might lifted up his shirt, showing a scar that was located by his chest. "Not many people know about this, but I went up against a very strong opponent a few years ago. The result as you can see, is this scar. My respiratory system was severely damaged." he started to explain and dropped his shirt as he sat down in front of the two children. Hakano already knew this, as she was under his guidance and training to become the next All Might. 

So that battle five years ago...she thought to herself, looking at Izuku as he finished her sentence. "...against Toxic Chainsaw is what caused that scar." he concluded. All Might went silent for a moment, not wanting to confirm the green-haired boys guess. "I will save people with a smile. The Symbol of Peace cannot be daunted by evil. I smile to show the pressure of heroes and to trick the fear inside of me." he started to answer Izuku's question, mumbling the last part. "If you want to help people, then you could become a police officer. They're often teased because they get villains delivered to their doorstep, but it's a fine occupation." Hanako showed a look of shock on her face as All Might made his way towards a door on the roof. 

"But you also have to consider what's realistic, young man. A pro hero must always be ready to risk his/her own life. So I cannot tell you that you can do it, even while being Quirkless." he ended his answer, walking down the stairs as Izuku stands there in despair. "Onee-chan?" Hanako placed her hand on her brother's shoulder. He just stands there, looking up. "We should get going. You have practice in a few minutes." Izuku finally answered. "Izuku..." Hanako sighed as she failed to coax him to open up. "I'm fine really, Hanako." he assured her as he started making his way to the exit. Meanwhile, All Might was walking into the busy traffic. "Now to get you to the-" he started, reaching for the bottle where the slime villain was in. Damn it. Did I drop it when that kid latched on to my leg he thought to himself. The explosions coming from across the other side of town was all the proof he needed.
