G's POV

Where the hell is that girl? The one time I let her go out on her own, I lose her. God dammit. I've already searched every inch of the house. Where the hell could she be? Hmmm... the fucking backyard, dumbass.

I opened the back door to see Frisk, laying in our garden of golden flowers.

"Hey, sweetheart." I said, shoving my hands in my pockets and slowly walking towards her. She turned around, the faintest smile reaching her lips.

I smiled back, happy she was safe and sound.

Sitting beside her, I looked to the sky; the stars shone, twinkling every so often.

Just as the aura became tranquil, Frisk spoke, "Hey, G?" She looked down, a soft blush appearing on her cheeks.

     "Yeah, sweetheart?"

"Why do you care about me so much? I mean, all I am is a bother, wouldn't it be better for you to just leave me, to not have to worry about me anymore?"

I looked at her, puzzled. Why the hell would you think that, doll face? Don't you know how hard it would be to leave your entire world behind?

"Doll face, what makes you think I'd ever leave you?" I say, concerned.

"S-Some asshat monsters c-came up to me and said I was w-worthless. I-It didn't bother m-me at first but then, over time, I s-started to believe it..." At this point, Frisk pulled her legs up to her chest, her head hanging down.

I stood up, walking in front of her. She looked at me, confused. Once in front of her, I sat cross legged to see that she was crying. I felt so bad for her in that moment, I don't want to see her beautiful face tear stained... Beautiful? Why the hell did I think 'beautiful'? Ugh, whatever. I pulled her into a hug, trying to calm her down, only to fail as she started sobbing.

I started to run my hand through her long, brown hair; it's definitely gotten longer since we escaped that wretched mountain.

Realizing she didn't have anything on but her torn crop top and shorts, I took off my jacket and wrapped it around her shoulders. "Let's head inside, sweetheart, you're freezing."

Frisk gasped as I picked her up, carrying her into our house bridal style. The sobs hushed as she laid her head on my shoulder, closing her eyes.

I laid her in her bed, taking her shoes off for her so she wouldn't have sores on her feet in the morning. I tried covering her up as much as I could without waking her. The real challenge was walking out of her room quietly, which was almost impossible considering my boney feet clanging against the hardwood floor was unimaginably loud.

Finally, I shut her bedroom door and walked downstairs. I watched an MTT special before confiding into my droopy eyes and heading to bed. Today was an odd day, to say the least.
