"oh hello again" Mrs Anderson greets me as i walk downstairs to meet everyone
"hello Mrs Anderson" i said smiling and grabbing a muffin
"please, call me Sydney. this is my husband Paul, and you already know Jake, and these are my other two children" a little boy who looked about 10 walked over "this is James" he smiled at me as a little girl poked her head from behind her mother's legs "and this is Julie" she picked up Julie in her arms. Julie looked about 5 and was the cutest thing ever.
"aw, hey guys" i said smiling at them
"this is Quinn" said Jake walking up beside me and ripping a piece of my muffin off and shoving it in his mouth
"hi Quinn" said Julie as she looked up at me i couldn't help but smile even more. i have always wanted siblings so maybe them moving in with us -temporarily- isn't so bad.
"hi julie" i said smiling at her while Sydney set her down and she ran over and hugged me. it took me a second before i wrapped my arms around her and picked her up. she giggled. dang she was adorable.
"alright, alright julie come on it's time for your nap" Paul said taking julie out of my arms.
"speaking of napping, where will you guys be sleeping?" i asked
"Sydney and Paul are taking the guest room with julie" my mother said nervously
"okay and where will jake and james sleep?" i asked
"well we were planning on jake and james taking the spare rooms in the basement, but james is scared down there so we wondering if you would mind moving too the basement so james can take your room and we will move all your stuff to the basement for you" my mother said. are you kidding me? i thought thankful i didnt say it out loud. my mother was smart too say this in front of me because now i couldnt deny without looking stuck up
"i get the bigger spare room" i said
"fine, works for me i will be spending lots of time in there anyway" jake whispered in my ear then winked. god he was something else.
***
"you know we should do something" jake said looking down at me. he was lying on the ground and i had my head on his stomach, normally i wouldnt feel this confortable with someone i barely knew but with jake it was different.
"like what?" i asked turning to face him
"well since my house burnt down i have no clothes and i can't believe i'm a dude asking this but wanna go shopping?" he asked and shuddered.
"shopping? with you?" i asked then laughed
"ya" he said pulling out his phone too reply too his text messages
"wait your serious?" i asked shocked
"yes i'm serious!" he said rolling his eyes at my obliviousness
"oh, uh I'm not really a big shopper but sure, why not" i said sitting up "i better go get dressed" i stood up yawning
"put on something nice, after all your going to be seen with me" he said smirking so i threw a pillow at him. serves him right. the jerk.
***
I looked in the mirror at myself, I think I did alright for looking nice. I was wearing black leggings and a blue and white long sleeve shirt that was all lace at the back. too be honest I thought I looked pretty good. I put on some mascara then headed downstairs too Jake.
"Took you long enough" Jake said getting up from the couch and looking over my outfit. suddenly I felt really insecure
"I was ten minutes" I said rolling my eyes then continued "that isn't exactly long, especially for girls." I said smirking then walking outside i saw it. a Lamborghini parked in my driveway.
"that's your car?!?" i exclaimed
"ya thank god i was driving it when the fire happened" he said
"but how come i never saw it when i was at your house?" i asked with my hand on my hip
"i hit a mailbox a week ago and scratched it so it was at a auto shop getting fixed, bow come on we don't have all day especially since you wasted half of it getting dressed" he said beeping the car and i simply rolled my eyes. would i ever get used to this boy and his stupid jokes?
***
"shit!' i muttered tripping and falling over in the change room. some how Jake had convinced me to try on this skimpy black dress we had found and of course the changeroom is smaller then a porta potty.
"any time now Quinn, I'm growing a beard out here" Jake called and i could hear the anxiety in his voice as he said it
"hold your horses boy, you're lucky im even trying this on for you' i called back pulling the dress completely over me and looking in the mirror
"ya how did i convince y-" he stop talking after i had stepped out of the change room, i didnt know if i looked okay or not so i was very self consious, at least i was.
"wow, Quinn, you look incredible" he said and my self conciousness flew out the window. If the most popular boy in school was complimenting me i must look pretty hot
"you think so?" i asked looking up
"no" a voice said "it doesnt fit her right, she needs curves and boobs to pull that off"
"margo?" jake said looking away to a very beautiful but very pissed off looking girl "what are you doing here?" he asked walking up to her and suddenly i realized who it was, it was jake's girlfriend, margo frintz, the most popular girl in the school and also known as the bitchiest girl in school.
"um its the mall, but anyway you were going to say no right?" she asked while putting her hands on her hips "i mean i am your girlfriend after all so you really shouldn't be complimenting some chick we don't even know" she said flipping her long wavy bright blonde hair that put mine to shame. someone must have opened the window because all my self consciousness came crashing into me.
"actually i do know her, this is Quinn Davis, Quinn this is Margo, my girlfriend' i faked a smile and went back into the change room to change back to my regular outfit that i wasn't so pleased about any more.
***
when we got home my room was completely set up in the basement. i smiled gratefully and layed down on my bed. my legs were aching we didn't get home till 5;30 because Margo tagged on in our shopping spree and forced Jake to try on over a hundred outfit's and then she would take ten minutes trying to find out if she liked them and if they would coordinate with her closet. it was a painful 6 hours. more painful then school and that is for sure saying something. i could not wait for sleep. i was planning on having a nap and getting up at 7 to eat and shower but the bad boy in the room beside me had other plans. first it was the music, then it was the face time with Margo, then it was the phone face time sex with Margo and then it was my phone alarm that was saying 'wake up, its 7!' it was a pretty shitty nap.
i was counting down the days until the Anderson's were gone.
hey guys it's kaitlyn! i am so sorry that update took so long and was so short, i just have so much going on that i forgot to work on it but i hope you enjoy!
