Seven o'clock AM in the small town of Wellsville. The sun has barely risen so late into the fall season. A saturday morning come again, and this isn't no ordinary saturday. Lizzy, a fifteen year old spunky girl with dark brown hair and interchanging eyes wakes up to the sound of dull crickets in the early mourn, and the clattering noises of her three sisters propably arguing over something stupid again She twists to the side, stretching her back for it was cramped from the way she slept that night. Deciding to get up finally, she sits at the edge of her bed, her feet touching the floor below. Even though the sun was barley up, it was unsually humid that morning. Lizzy squinted her eyes and reached over to her nightstand, grabbing her black rimmed, sexy-styled glasses and sighed when her vision cleared. Then she dashed out of her room and down stairs.
Passing her mother on the way out to the kitchen, Lizzy was only stopped momentarily. "Would you get the mail hunny?" Her mom much rather told than asked. Lizzy nodded once and walked out the back door and went to the mailbox, looking towards the sky near the sun. The sun was just peeking over the horizon.

Lizzy was now curiously flipping between the amount of bills now piled up in her hand. Nothing caught her eye until the last letter, which curiously, had a cherry blossom design on the envolope. Dropping the other contents off on the kitchen table, with fast legs she ran up stairs clutching the one letter. Her heart beat began hammering and at once she took out her phone with shaky hands, dialing her best friend's number.

One ring.... Two rings... Three... There was a hiccup in the call as silence went on for a few seconds.

Kate lay in her bed curled up in a ball. She was awoken by the sound of her phone ringing. It was playing the main theme from Pokémon. Grunting Kate turned over to see who in their right mind would call at seven in the morning on a Saturday. Kate squinted at the phone's screen to see who was behind this. She saw it was her best friend, Lizzy. For god's sake... She thought. It must have been important if Lizzy was calling this early.

"What do you want, Lizzy?" Kate said with a little attitude.

"The craziest thing just showed up in the mail." Lizzy said eagerly, ignoring the attitude from her friend. "It is decorated in cherry blossoms." She added hoping to get Kate's undivided attention.
Kate yawned uninterested till Lizzy mentioned the cherry blossoms on whatever had came. Cherry blossom's are Japan's national flower. Kate pondered for a moment at what this mysterious thing that had came in Lizzy's mail. More importantly why wasn't it sent to Kate?!
"Did you open it?" Kate asked now interested.

"Not yet... But I am now. Want me to save the envolope for you when I come over?" Lizzy asked in a muffled voice as she carefully tore open the envolope.
Kate heard the sound of tearing paper over the phone. She prayed Lizzy wasn't doing too much damage to the envelope.

"Sure I'll take it." Kate said fooling around with her water bottle she had beside her bed.
Lizzy got the letter out and gasped, nearly dropping her phone as she scanned over the letter, her eyes bugging.

"Oh... My... God..."

Kate could hear Lizzy's surprised gasp. She thought about what the letter could say. It probably said that she had won a free vacation or some crap.

None the less Kate asked, "Lizzy?! What is it?"

".... I..... I was waiting to tell you about this next time I came over... I thought it was just a joke!" Lizzy exclaimed not to the point.

Kate had a confused expression on her face. She really didn't know what Lizzy was going to tell her. If Lizzy even did tell her.

"Just tell me now." Kate said with a hint of a commanding tone in her voice.
"Dear Lizzy Lockheart,". Lizzy started. "This letter is in regards to the online contest you entered for a trip to japan with one friend. Out of the thousands of contestants, you were the lucky winner! Congratulations and get ready for the vacation of a lifetime!" Lizzy read the letter off shakily.
Kate was generally surprised. When had Lizzy had the time to do this? It didn't matter though. Kate's lifelong dream was going to come true! She thought of all the awesome Pokémon and Sailor Moon stuff she could find!

Maybe she would even get to meet her...

For the first time in forever Kate actually squealed in delight. But who was Lizzy going to chose to go with her? It had better been Kate!

"Who's going with you? One of your twenty sisters?" Kate sarcastically said.
"For fucks sake! Are any of them into all the shit we are? Be realistic late! Who do you think is going?" Lizzy gave a slight grin and rolled her eyes. "Don't be dumb!" She added.
"You dare to curse at your sensei?!" Kate growled playfully. "Anyway I just can't guess who. Hmm... Maybe Rose Petal and Brutus?" Kate snickered.

Lizzy face palmed with a giggled. "If YOU really need a hint... It starts with a y, ends with a U." She emphasized. Honestly, this was no time to be playing games! The best thing that has ever happened to both of them and she wanted to kid around?!

"Alright dumbass! I know who it is! I was dicking around with you!" Kate smiled. "How exactly are we going to do this?" Kate then asked.

Lizzy then didn't respond. She really didn't know. Her mom and dad weren't even informed of it... What if they couldn't go...? Lizzy's heart rate sky rocketed, hoping that wasn't the case. She began praying her parents would trust her enough. Lizzy had toatally forgotten Kate was on the other line.
Kate sat silently on the phone. She was petting her dog who gave her a confused look. Kate looked down at her dog. She hoped Rose Petal could come. Kate was incomplete without her dog.
She walked out into the kitchen and heard Petal's claws clicking on the the floor as the dog walked. Kate sat at the large white table and Petal jumped up and sat on her lap. Kate burrowed her face into the Toy Poodle's soft white fur.

This was her and Lizzy's chance to make their dreams come true. Kate had prayed every night for this to happen and now they probably weren't going to be able to go...
"I'll figure out a way." Lizzy finally replied back over confidently. She looked down at the letter once more and stuffed it in her dresserdroor with a loud shut. "Hey I got to go... I'll talk to you later ok? Maybe I can spend the night this weekand! We can plan our week at Japan!" Lizzy said enthusiastically.

Kate replied with a simple, "Sayanara." Then shut the phone off. Better start practicing Japanese now, right?

Kate watched Petal jump off her lap. The dog turned around and looked at her like she wanted something.

"Are you hungry Pet?" Kate suggested.

The dog's tail began to wag. Kate thought this was suspicious and looked to Petal's food bowl. It was empty. Which was strange. Kate got up and filled the bowl with kibble.
Kate walked to her room and got on her computer. She was unsure what she wanted to do. Kate was so used to getting on the computer sometimes she did even without a reason to get on.
Kate was bored and somewhat annoyed. Which lead to one of her bad habits.
Kate scrolled through the numerous pictures of teenage anime girls getting brutely violated by tentacles. Kate didn't know why this amused her so much or why she always got aroused by it.
Rose Petal walked in and jumped up on Kate's chair and layed down by her. Kate sighed. Whenever she looked at this she always thought of Lizzy. Whom Kate liked better then just a friend.
But she would never dare tell Lizzy that. Besides Lizzy already had a boyfriend. Kate wondered what Lizzy was doing.

Lizzy lay on her bed now, upper excited about this whole thing. Life couldn't get much better! A trip to japan with her best friend... Just like they always drempt of. Now she just needed to get her costume in the mail. That was the only thing lizzy refused in telling Kate. What a surprise it would be for her!

"Lizzy!" Called her father. "We are going to market today! Come down out of that room!" Lizzy rolled her eyes but was determined to stay upbeat in her attitude. Nothing could ruin this day now!
