On the Run

Chapter 1

I woke up to the sound of snoring. Why did my brother snore so loud. We have to get up and get some water from the pump soon

"Akachi" I say while shaking him

"W- what" he answers

"Get up we have to go"

"Where"

" To get water like mum asked us too" I snap Akachi never listens when our mother is speaking. He's the rude one of our family

"Oh really, I completely forgot about that " he replies

I walk away from him and change my clothes then pull on some shoes. I turn around and look at him, he's still in bed

" What's wrong with you" I shout "Did you not hear me say we have to go"

"Yeah I did" Akachi says calmly

"Then why you not changed"

" I am" He replies and jumps out of bed, he is fully dressed

We both start to laugh as we walk towards the water pumps

Our village is quite small but it's a very friendly place, we walk past Janet and both out jaws drop. Janet is our age but she had never looked so good, she was wearing a short dress with a crop top.

"Heyy you guys" Janet says with a smile

"Hi Janet you.." I squeeze out before Akachi interrupts me

"Hey Janet looking stunning as always" Akachi says while winking at her

She laughs and rubs Akachi's shoulder " Thanks Akachi "

I look at Akachi as he flirts with Janet, I always liked her and we always speak but he sees her now and he's already doing better then me. I don't think anything hurts more then this.

I interrupt there conversation and say

"sorry about this Janet we would love to stay and chat but we have to get some water from the pump"

"Ok see you guys later" she says and shoots a wink at us

Me and Akachi get to the pump and fill up our bottles

"Do you like Janet ?" I ask Akachi

" Yeah she's real good looking" he answers while smiling "Why you jealous lil bro"

"No why would I be, like me and her are friends but I don't like her in that way" I lie

"Ok, let's go man"

"Yeah ok" I say quickly
