On the Run

Chapter 2

We get home.

"Hi mum, were back" I say

"Hi Joseph" she replies "Can you call you brother in here for me"

"Ok one second" I say as I walk into our room and tell Akachi

"Ok" He answers quickly.

We walk into the sitting room and flop on the chairs

"I have been asked if any of my kids would like to travel to England" My mum explains "Would you to like to ?"

Me and Akachi say "Yes" almost at the same time.

"Ok" My mum says with a big smile on her face "Start packing, you will be leaving in 2 days"

Akachi runs into his room and starts packing all his good clothes, I go outside and look for Janet.

I see her sitting under our tree. It's our tree because we discovered it at the age of 10 and we always played around it

I run up to her and say

"Hey Janet"

"Hi Joseph, you look happy" she says and laughs. I love her laugh, it's so cute

"Yeah I am, I'm going to England soon" I explain

"Oh my gosh" she says and gives me a massive hug, she smell so nice and her hug is soft and tight

"You are so lucky"

"Not really" I lie "It's only cause my mum has connections"

"I'm going to miss you" she says and frowns

"Me too, so that's why me and you are going to hang out for the whole of today"

"That would be good" she says I wish I could have the courage and kiss her but I'm not as brave as my brother.

Me and Janet spend the rest of the day talking.

"It's real late" I say " do you want me to walk you home?"

"Yeah sure"

It's about 11:30 when walk her home .We hold hands and talk about my life in England. Her hands are soft and warm, I hate how much I like her and she won't ever know. I'v always dreamed about us with a family of 2 kids living in London. We reach her door and we say our goodbyes, she's about to walk to her door but my hand grabs her wrist and I hold her by her hands, close my eyes and lean in.

In my head I'm wishing I never did this and in my heart I'm wishing I did. Her lips touch mine they are as warm as her hands and they taste like cherry soon after our tongues start to dance .My dream has come true, after 5 mins of kissing we pull away from each other.

"You taste good" I say softly and wink at her

"So do you" she replies and returns the wink

Her dad bursts out the door and calls her in, she walks home and blows me a kiss before she closes the door. I walk all the way home with a massive smile on my face.
