never let you go

You wake up to the sound of gentle raindrops against the roof and a soft snore next to you. You turn around and see Kakashi asleep facing you. He looks very peaceful in his deep sleep. He must had returned last night when you were asleep. You are glad to see him back after constantly worrying over him during his absence. Carefully, you trace the scar down his left eye with your fingertip and then replace it with your lips. You hear him release a soft sigh, which makes you smile. Feeling you had somehow disturbed his sleep, you plant a kiss on the corner of his mouth before drawing back and turning to your back, facing the ceiling above.

"Why did you stop?" you hear him ask. His voice was husky and deep.

You turn your head to look at him. "I'm sorry for disturbing your sleep," you apologise.

"It's all right," he smiles.

You turn to your side to face him. He gently caresses the side of your face while his ebony eyes are fixed on you. You shudder beneath his soft touch, which you had been missing since he left for a mission. You close your eyes when you feel his lips softly brushing against yours, slightly teasing.

"Did you miss me, (y/n)?" He asks with his husky voice. His breath is warm on your face.

"Yes," you breath.

He plants a gentle kiss on the corner of your mouth and the nape of your neck.

"I missed you too, darling," he says on your neck, his warm breath tickling.

You wrap your hand around his side, drawing him closer to you until you can feel his heart beating a steady rhythm. You sigh in bliss when you feel his lips brushing softly on your collarbones. You run your fingers through his silver hair and enjoy the warm feeling of his presence close to you. Your lips release a relieved sigh when he finally kisses your lips passionately as he holds you tightly.

"Please, don't let me go, Kakashi," you breath between his tender and passionate kisses as tears roll down your cheeks and touches his thumb.

"I'll never let you go, (y/n)," he promises, his kiss growing even more passionate and desperate. "Never."

The two of you make love while heavy rain pours down to the peaceful village.

You lay next to him while the two of you look at each other lovingly. He gently caresses the side of your face with a smile decorating his handsome face.

"I love you, (y/n)," he whispers.

"I know, Kakashi."

He chuckles. "What shall we do today?"

"I just want to lay in bed with you."

He plants another kiss on your lips, and then he looks at you deeply into your soul. "Sounds like a plan."
