"Somewhere in this room is a criminal" yelled officer Brady. The other officer was officer Thomas.

A what looked like a demented old women SMAKED her husband straight across the face, she did it so loud I could hear if froma mile away, and I could feel it to, I rubbed my cheek.

"WHAT DID YOU DO THIS TIME HAROLD!"

"Ma'm I highly dought your husband is the one were looking for" said officer Brady.

"Luckly we saw part of his face"said officer Thomas. Trying to ignore what just happened.

Out of no where someone who completly blended in stood up and ran. He or she had a hood on. I never understood how ppl could cover their face like that. Whenever I try to do that, my face shows, and if I go deeper in the hood, it's to dark to see.

Officer Brady shot, and tazzered him. He fell to the flore and while officer Brady turned him over officer Thomas held the walkin talkie that was on his sholder and said, " code red! We got him"

I was shocked yet relieved who was this guy?

They flipped of his hood and he had a batman mask on. Batman really?

They took the batman mask off and there he was. It was some guy with clown makeup on, the same kind that looked like the Joker. He started to crack up like the Joker. He imediently stopped as if it were a fake laugh. He smiled and said" why so serious" he quickly slipped a pocket knif out of his sleeve and opened it. I'm surprised he did that in a split second with one hand. Impossible. Well maybe possible but not with out cutting his hand in to. He stood up as if it were some kind of reflex. He looked around the room pouncing around like a kangaroo. He finally yanked me by the arm and I screamed.

I looked over to baby bear. He must have been scared to death because it looked like he wasn't breathing.

"Breath baby bear!!" I screamed.

"Shut up" yelled the Joker guy.

He yanked me to his chest. My back was aggenst his chest and his knife was at my throat. Baby bear looked better now.

Excuse me what exactly were the cops doing to help in thins situation.

Officer Thomas turned his head to officer Brady but never took his eyes of me.

" Did...Our..Neighbor... Tell... Larry..... Our... Official.... Kidnapp..." He said.

Wtf did he say. I thought about it and knew exactly what he ment. I was calm now. Out of now where a brave police man stabbed the Joker guy, there for making him loose his grip on me and the knife. I ran as far away from him as possible. He handcuffed him and every one clapped.

The police man was behind us the whole time waiting untill he got close enough. But he had to move slowly. I also thought officer Brady might be new to this police stuff because who would be dumb enough to look.

Later that day

I turned the sign that said closed. Then I cleaned some counters and organized the cups behind the counter. I heard the bell ring meaning someone came in. Were closed I said before peeking up. I saw officer Thomas standing there.

"Oh sorry I didn't know it was you" I said taking off my aipren.

"Bad new." He said

My smile disappeared.

"That guy dressed as the Joker was some distracting dummy to help the real criminal get away. "In other words.... It wasn't him"

I sighed and turned around.

"Man! He slipped away!" I said angry

"What is he in for anyways" I said.

"Well since you ask.. Robbery, hitting a women, and apperently he thinks he's the master of grand thrift auto" he said. I passed him a cup of coffee and a donut.

"I'll take it to go I have to get back to the station. Got some work to do" I grabbed the donut and put it in a bag.

"Thank you" he said.

"Wait mister" I said with an attitude.

"I know your a cop but that don't mean donuts and coffee is free." I said with my palm out. He handed me a twenty dollor bill and said, "keep the change"

One it was only like three dollors he could have just handed me a 5$ bill, that way it would make more sence. Two i deserved that much money for being a victim today. I grabbed my change out of the register and slipped in the twenty dollor bill.

I got on my bike and started riding it home.
