Beginning The Case

I decided that the first thing I should do was go to the scene of the crime. So I galloped off to Rainbow Falls. As I raced there I was trying to think what I should do first. CLUES! Of course!

Once I reached the Rainbow Falls I searched for Jally Jellybean, short, skinny, oh yes and bright purple!

I found her in the chocolatey goodness of the lake as she surfaced from the milk.

'Oh sir! Oh sir!' She said as she swam ferociously back to the land.

'Sir! I've lost my candy cane sir! My precious candy cane!' She screamed at me. I think he saw the Department's logo, with the crossed fair floss sticks, on my fez.

'It's ok, calm down. I am from the Department and I am here to help you!' I said trying to calm her down.

'Now, could you take me to where you last saw your candy cane?' I asked her kindly.

'Y-yes sir.' She replied quietly, a little scared of my horn.

We walked to the Red Vine tree that was closest to the lake.

'Here sir. I left it here as I went for a swim!' She started weeping, I tried to calm her.

'It's ok, we'll find it! Calm down, it will all be fine! It's ok!' I tried and tried to calm her with words.

Eventually I grabbed a Red Vine from the tree (using my mouth because the hooves were not going to do the job) and gave it to the kid. She stopped crying immediately and gratefully took the candy and began eating it while watching me search for clues.

I started around the tree, high and low then headed for the fairy floss bush (my stable has caramel melted into the fairy floss so it's rock hard). I stuck my nose into the bush searching. Nothing.

I looked under every toffee rock, in all the sherbet sand and there was nothing. The only option I had left was the lake, if the culprit had dropped anything it could've been blown into the lake.

'Can you stay here for me Jally while I search the lake?' I asked as politely and kindly as I could.

'Yes sir.' She replied just as politely.

I dove into the chocolate milk lake. It swam 'gracefully' because with these hooves it's hard to swim very well. I searched and searched but couldn't find anything. Until something bumped my nose...

A/N yes! A cliff hanger!!! I just wanna say thank you to my real life friend @KimitheKiller for trying to help me! And as I promised a dedication to my other real life friend @The-Living-Tomestone! THANKS FOR OVER 60 READS!!!
