Rain looked out the window in her huge bedroom she shared with her fiancée Eric, she was watching her gardener, Dougie. He looked up at her and flashed a smile at her, she blushed and smiled back at him.

She made her way away from the window and over to her huge walk in wardrobe, she opened the doors and walked inside it, closing the doors behind her. She went through her expensive designer clothes and found a pair of dark denim jeans and a grey purple tank top with fake diamond stones that were over the shoulders and around the neck on the top.

She stepped out of her pyjamas pants and t-shirt and put on her new clothes.

She took up her pyjamas and put them on a small table that where next to the doors and walked out of the walk-in-closet.

As she walked out and closed the door behind her, her eyes searched the room and stopped with the mirror. It was hanging a beautiful white dress next to the mirror. The wedding dress she was gonna wear in a week.

There was only a week left before she went from being Rain Proulx to Rain Saade. She brushed her fingers lightly over the white wedding dress and smiled dreamily thinking about the wedding, her wedding.

The dress where white with heart neckline with sparkling crystal beading and rhinestones. A real Cinderella fairytale dress.

She stood looking dreamily at the wedding dress, daydreaming about her wedding, but got brought harshly back to reality when she heard three hard knocks on the door.

“Eric” she sighed and walked through the room over to the doors, unlocked it and opened it slightly sticking her head out so he couldn't see the dress.

“Hey sweetie” she smiled sneaking out of the room closing the door behind her.

She wrapped her hands around his neck and kissed his lips and smiled.

“Hey babe, I need to talk to you” Eric said with his thick Swedish accent in his English. His dark brown eyes showed sadness.

Rain's happy smile faded, her whole face dropped, she couldn't believe what he had said, what did they need to talk about? Had she done something wrong? She was scared, afraid of what he would say to her.

He unlocked her arms from behind his neck and took her right hand dragging her with him to the huge living room and sat down on the bigh beige couch.

He took her hand in his and looked into her beautiful hazel eyes, he brushed away some of her brown hair away from her face with his free hand. He opened his mouth to say something but closed it again quickly.

He thought for a second before he opened his mouth again and said the hard words he had been thinking about all day.

“I know it's only a week until our wedding” he started, Rain looked at him with huge eyes afraid for what he would say next.

“But I got a call today from my manager saying that I have to go away for a few days. Please don't get upset” he said as he saw tears forming in Rain's hazel eyes.

“I'm sorry baby, but you're leaving for a job trip just a week before our wedding, and I'm not allowed to get upset either?” Rain said trying to hold her tears back.

“I know, I'm really sorry” Eric said hugging her tightly.

“It's OK” Rain sighed, “Your work is important, you have to do what you'll have to do” she continued feeling the tears fill her eyes, he stroked her hair before kissing her head.

“Thank you for understanding” he whispered into her hair.

Rain took a deep breath holding back her salty tears, she was gonna miss him so much and she felt it wasn't right for him to leave just a week before their wedding, but he hadn't got any other choice really.
