"Ancient Greek." Cory said holding a gift in he's hands.

"What's that? What's that?" Riley asked pointing at the gift.

"What's this, it's a gift." Cory said.

"Is it for me?" Riley asked.

"What's your game, Matthews?" Maya and Teresa suspiciously asked.

"Game? I mean no game. I just want to know who here wants this present." Everyone but Maya and Teresa immediately raised their hands.

"Oh Maya, Teresa you assume by playing hard to get I'm just gonna give it to you?" Cory asked.

"No, I just don't trust you." Teresa shrugged.

"Well yes that's one of the many arrows of my quiver." Maya said.

Farkle shivered, "medieval talk. What are you doing to me, Woman?"

"Riley." Naturally, Cory put the present on he's daughters desk.

"Yay." Riley opened it excited only for her excitement to go away when she saw what was inside. "The Trojan horse?" Riley read what was written on the small shock board in disappointment and disbelief.

"Surpise." Cory told her.

"This isn't a present! This is one of your life lessons wrapped up in a class lesson wrapped up in a box of nothing!" Riley exclaimed.

"How you doing, honey?" Maya asked her.

"I'm all worked up." Riley immediately answered.

"I know."

"You assumed that because it was all neat and pretty that something good was inside. Ancient troy was protected by walls, the Greeks couldn't get in so they built a big wooden horse and left it behind. What do you think the tropes did?" Cory told them.

"They left it there because they were afraid that somebody was trying to teach them something." Riley shot her father a look.

He just looked at her before continuing, "they captured it as a trophy and brought it inside, that night the greet soldiers crawled out of the horse and defeated Troy. What have we learned here. Mr friar."

"Don't assumptions based on what you see." Lucas answered.

"Practically, don't judge a book by its cover." Teresa said.

"Riley listen, I'm sorry I made an example of you so here's a gift for you." Cory held out a small box wrapped in paper.

"Oh, no, I want to, no." Riley fought with herself, "pretty ribbon, no!"

"I'll take my chances with that, sir." Lucas said.

"No Lucas, You have to assume it's no good because the first one was no good. Aren't you proud of me dad?" Riley told him.

"No." Cory simply said causing Teresa to let out a small laugh.

"Get out of detention free." Lucas read out, Maya and Teresa's eyes brightened up.

"We could use one of those." Maya told Teresa, "give me that and I won't call you ranger Rick all week."

"And I won't complain about your annoying voice for two days." Teresa added.

"Here you go." Lucas gave them the card.

"Thanks Ranger boy." Maya said.

"Let me guess, ranger boy is filling in for ranger Rick." Lucas said.
