The First Flower of Spring

                               Mori POV

I wonder how she's doing. If Kamaru is driving her crazy, or if she is driving him crazy. I wonder if they're getting along. I wonder how she feels about me now.

'It's not that I care because she's going to be mine whether she likes me or not.'

"I have to have her. No matter what. She is special and will give me what I want."

'I know it's not the best time for me or Kamaru to suddenly appear in your life Riza, but you need us right now. You may not know it now, but you need as much help as you need in order to avoid your dark future. I don't even know if we will still be able to help you when you realize how much power you have. Will you go crazy and destroy everything and everyone you love? Or will you be able to keep your sanity and use your power for good?'

"I'll see you soon. Stay strong. Riza."

                              Riza POV

I'm walking through the halls trying to get to class but it becomes harder to walk, and even harder to breathe as I hear what the other students are saying about me. But they soon avert their attention to Kamaru, flooding the air with compliments. And that was short lived because once again their attention was averted, back to me saying things like...

"Why is he so close to her?"
"Yeah she needs to back up!"
"She just wants to get with him and he just got here!"
"Such a slut!"
"He doesn't know who he's getting involved with!"

"Yeah we need to keep him far away from her" a high squeaky familiar voice says.

I looked in the direction of that voice and I see none other than Mya looking dead at me and walking over slowly.

"Welcome back Riza, did you enjoy your weekend?" She asked with a fake smile.

Then she looks up at Kamaru who is about 3 inches behind me.

'Gosh, why is he so close at a time like this?!'

"So I see you have another boy wrapped around your finger. You just never get enough do you?" I looked around at the other people in the hallway and they start laughing. Then she continued.

"You tried to take my boyfriend, then that strange kid from Friday that came and helped you out, and now this hot hunk" she said while winking at Kamaru.

'Is she serious?! I looked back a Kamaru only to see an eyebrow arched.'

Kamaru POV

'Ew did she just.. did she just wink at me? I swear on alcohol, I cannot stand this world's women. They disgust me. I'm barely being able to tolerate Riza, what makes anyone else think I can handle another human?'

I looked over at Riza to see if she would have some type of comeback, but to my surprise she is looking down. I followed her gaze and she is looking at her feet and as I look at her feet I see something dripping on her shoes.

'She's... she's crying! Grrrr why?! Is it because everyone is making fun of her? The Riza I know always has something to say back. But in the presence of this disgusting human she's crying. My heart. My heart hurts as if someone is squeezing it as hard as possible. Why? I've only known her for less than a week. Why is this happening? Does this relate to the 2 red lines? I don't know, but right now I need to get Riza out of here.'

I glared at Mya and she backed up giving me room to come between her and Riza. I gave Mya and the others one last chilling glare before I harshly grabbed Riza's hand and basically dragged her into an empty room filled with a bunch of cleaning supplies. I locked the door and turned to look at her, but her head was still hanging low and she's still crying.

'What happened between her and that girl?'

"Riza..... are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine" she said as she was trying to leave the room. But I stopped her.

"No you're not. You're crying. What happened between you and that girl?"

"She thinks that I..... I..."

"That you what?"

"That I started rumors about her and that i was trying to take her boyfriend" she says while crying a little louder.

"Well did you?"

"NO! I didn't, that's the thing. Her boyfriend was trying to hit on me and then he got caught so he tried to frame me so that he wouldn't look bad." She said snapping up at me.

'Ugh. Humans'

"Now the whole school hates me." She said with her head low once again.

'She always seemed like a cheerful person until now. Now I see that this has been eating away at her for a while now.'

Ringggg!!

"That's the bell, let's go or we'll be late."
She said.

                                 Riza POV

I was walking out of the closet and I see a huge crowd of people looking dead at me and Kamaru and then I start to hear whispers. Once again my eyes were filled with tears. But I wouldn't dare to let them spill out.

"What the hell are you all looking at? Mind your business" Kamaru said while walking away.

'Wow, he's so cool'

Kamaru pushes through the crowd and thankfully he is headed in the direction of our class.

When we arrived in class all eyes were on me, and they were those of distaste. I sat down and there was an empty seat next to me so Kamaru was going to occupy it until someone starts talking to him.

"Hey Kamaru! Why don't you sit with us instead of her" a random girl in my class said to him.

'How does she know his name already?'

"No thanks, I'm good over here." He said with a little smile.

'Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat in the world is happening?! Did he just show a fake smile? What for?'

The girl turned away, sighing with her group of friends.

As class goes by, I can't help but to notice the harsh, judging stares that are stabbing me and the cute flirty eyes that are being thrown at Kamaru, of which he seems to be highly uncomfortable with but is still trying to pass it off with a smile, but for the most part he was asleep.

'I just have to get through a few more classes and then lunch, and then I can go home.'

Lunch time comes around and as I'm walking out the line with my lunch tray, I see none
other than..........
