Take my Soul

Frisk sighed and sat down on the bed of golden flowers where her journeys always start. She had been planning this moment for a while now and was finally ready to put this plan to action.

"Why are you back? Go to the surface and be with all your friends." Chara mumbled, her faded spirit's back turned from Frisk, who was standing near where their adventure had first begun, nearly shrouded by darkness. "What do you want from me?"

She turned to face them when a bright red glow caught her eye. Frisk had their arm outstretched toward Chara, their soul hovering above their hand. "Take it. Finish the life you started."

Chara pushed back their hand, a confused expression spread across her face. "But don't you need your soul to live? Why are you just about to give it to me?" As much as she wanted to live again, she couldn't just take Frisk's soul.

"Alphys said I should be fine without it. Besides, you can see your friends and family again. Isn't that what you want?"

She thought about reading with Toriel again and having pie. She thought about learning about different flowers in Asgore's garden. She thought about running around with Undyne and Papyrus and starting fires from cooking failures. She thought about laughing and joking with Sans, and doing nothing for hours but talk. She thought about watching anime with Alphys and being a huge nerd. One thing stopped her from taking Frisk's soul though. She had read about souls and knew Frisk was lying. You can't live without a soul.

"I'm not doing it. I can't take you away from all your friends." Chara declared, surprising the child in front of her. "I refuse to let you do this."

The bad thing about Frisk though, is that they wouldn't let anyone say no. Frisk grabbed Chara's wrist and forced the soul into her. "Have fun on the surface for me, Chara," was all they said before everything went silent. Frisk was gone. Chara could feel herself sitting in the bed of golden buttercups as her friend left. She was alive again, but was it really worth it?

Sorry this is so short and that I havent written in a while I just havent had any motivation lately. I will be putting up a book of my art soon though so thats something.
