"Kayla honey it time to get up you don't wanna be late for school." Kayla always loved school and never wanted to miss one day even if she had the flu. "Kayla i'm gonna go make you breakfast. Get dressed and meet me downstairs. Ok daddy can I brush my teeth by myself this time daddy please. I won't make a mess I promise. Ok honey but after you eat." As time passed after they got done eating French toast sticks she brushed her teeth and got in the car to go to school. After I dropped of Kayla to school I began heading to work. For work I am a detective in Washington D.C. My phone rings. "Hello?" "Hey Ryan this is Joel when are you coming in?" "You know boss don't like you late." "I know I'm on my way I had to drop off Kayla at school i'll be there in a few." "Okay but hurry up boss is not gonna be happy." "Sure thing." As I'm on my way to work I see something rather strange. So I pull off into a parking lot full of people beating up this one guy. As I pull up they all scatter away. I asked the man "are you ok?" he replied with a grunt. "Everything's gonna be ok i'm calling 911." As I am on the phone I hear faint mumbling in the distance so I put the guy in my car and lock the doors so he is safe. I walk towards the faint mumbling and as I get closer I hear footsteps behind me. I turn around to see what it is and I hear a shot and I look down to only notice I have been shot. As I look up there is a guy running away so I try to chase him but I only fall from how weak I am. So I immediately call 911.
BACK AT THE OFFICE
"Hey Joel Where's Ryan?" Said the Boss. "I don't know sir I just called him twenty minutes ago." Joel starts to call Ryan but his phone rings first. "Hello?" "Hey is this Joel?" "Yes Where the hell are you Ryan Boss is on my tail about you i'm not your keeper." "Joel are you sitting down?" "Yeah why?" "Don't freak out but I just got shot." "What?!?!? What happen?" "Well I saw This man getting jumped so I got out and helped him and put him in the car next thing I know Boom i'm bleeding." "So where is the man that was in the car?" "I have no clue but he looked to be in critical condition." "What about you are you gonna make it?" "Yeah doc. said that i'm lucky it only hit my appendix because The appendix is not necessary needed to live." "That's good detective so how long until you get out?" "Doctor said sometime around tomorrow night." "That's good you can help us catch this guy." "Yeah I look forward to it." "Can you do me a favor Joel?" sure thing Ryan what is it?" "Can you pick up Kayla from school please don't tell her why just take her to her grandmas." "Ok will do."
