Mentors

I walk into the studio, and wait for the kids to show up. "Hey Vilu, whats up?" "Nothing Fran. Wait. Can I show you something?" "Sure Vilu, what is it?"

I get on the keyboard and start to play "Sing For Love". Fran understands and goes to grab the guitar. Soon we are both singing along. We turn to see that everyone else was starting to show up and we continue to sing. It's so much fun singing with everyone again.

We turn to see Pablo, Antonio and Beto clapping. "Well done guys." Pablo exclaims. "That was wonderful! This is why you are mentors!" Antonio says. "Again! Again!" Beto screams while he claps. "We are excited to introduce you to the new students. They are nervous, but we will split you up so that you all can see. This isn't your final place, but we want to see how you do. Towards the end of the year, you will be put into groups to help write and conduct different songs with the younger students. Good Luck!" Antonio tells us as he leaves.

"Here are your placements. Angie has Violetta, Aqua, Leon, Cami, and Fran. Gregorio has Maxi, Naty, Broudway, Alex and Rachel. I have Andre, Lara, Fede, Fran and Gery. Hope you all have fun." He said as we all go to our assigned classrooms. "Leon!" I yell as he comes in. He smiles at me and I smile back. "We missed you this morning. Where were you?" "Sleeping. I totally forgot to set my alarm clock. I'm still a little tired from last night." I laugh. "It was wonderful. Thank you." "You know Vilu, you got to go shopping soon. Our wedding is in three months." I scowl. "I know, we still have soooo much to do." "I know princess but we can do it. Pablo and Antonio have agreed to allow us to get our own place sooner than later, and we can have an extra week off for the honeymoon." "Thanks Leon, I'll start to make invitations tonight. I want a small wedding." "Me too. Ready to go into class" I nod and we go in together.

"Alright class, these are your mentors. They will be here every week but they may not be the same ones. Starting in two weeks you will have your actual mentors that will be here the whole year. Now they will introduce themselves and you can ask them any questions." She looks at me and I nod. "Hi, I'm Violetta Callisto but you can call me Vilu. I just graduated from here last year and it was one of my best years of my life." I smile at Leon and he smiles back. "Hi, I'm Leon Vargas and like al of us I graduated from here last year as well. Last year was also one of the best years of my life because I find my soul mate." "Awww" the girls said. "Hi I'm Aqua McQueen. I'm actually from Mexico so I didn't graduate from here. However, I have made great friends already and can't wait to be your mentor." "Hi, I'm Camila but you can call me Cami. I grew up here with Leon and last year I met one of my best friends. Treasure this place." "Hi, I'm Francesca but you can call me Fran if you would like. I met one of my best friends last year and honestly love this place. I can't wait to mentor you guys."

We look towards Angie and she nods. "Are there any questions before we begin? Yes, Ava?" I little girl smiles at me. "Why was last year the best for you Violetta." I look down blushing. "I came here last year with my brother and sister. Umm.... I also met my fiancé and my two best friends last year. This year we gained a friend and I'm thankful for that." I said looking at her. "Yes, Broco?" "So are you and Leon dating?" Leon smiles at me and I nod. "We are engaged actually. The wedding is on New Years Day." Leon told him. "Lena, What is your question?" Angie asks. "Can we all become good friends like you did? I mean you found your soul mate and your best friends here." We all smile. "Making music with others is wonderful and can lead you to places and people you didn't know you could meet." I say and we all nodded.

"So for our next assignment I'm going to put you in groups and we will have you work on an assignment. " I look over and see a boy raise his hand. "Yes" I point to the guy. "Can my friends and I be in a group? We want to try and be a band." I smile. "Angie, I would love to take them and mentor them." She nods. "Alex your group will be with Violetta." Luna will be with Fran and Aqua. and we will get her other mentor later. Amber will be with Cami and she will also have another mentor later. Nina will work with Amber and Cami until she gets her mentors. Simon will also go with Violetta's group until we assign his mentors. Lena will go with Fran and Aqua until her mentors are assigned. Now I will go to see Antonio to see who your mentors are. You will be with them until I come with your other mentors. Have fun!"

I take my group and we go to the zoom. Leon comes in with us and we sit down to get to know everyone. "What made you want to become a band Alex." He looks at us. "Long story, but to sum up our principle hated music" "my dad" Emma stared. "And we loved it so we started to compete and found out we were good ." Nicole stepped in "soon our parents realized and they helped us including Emma's dad, so that is why we are here." Leon and I looked at each other. "What if we practiced by giving you a song we preformed and you could preform with us." They nodded. "Here are the lyrics to Sing for Love." Leon says and we start to sing it.
Soon all of the mentors and mentes come in and listen to us. Emma and Nicole are killing it and Simon has a great voice. I can see how Alex, Sam, Christian, Nicole, and Emma would make a great band. Once we finish, Leon and I clap for them. "That was great guys." Pablo says, "I like what your doing with them." Leon and I smile. "They did everything Pablo, we just led them in the right direction." Leon said. He smiles. "That leads me to another thing. We have the mentors." Pablo lets Antonio speak next. "Violetta yo I will continue to mentor Alex's group but with Leon. Broudway, Fran, and Aqua will mentor Luna. Naty, Gery, and Diego have Nina. Cami and Maxi will have Ámber. Alex and Rachel will mentor Simón and Ludmilla and Fede will mentor Lena."
