Losing Mary

"You remember me?" Leon asks with his smile wide. I nod and I start crying tears of joy. Leon comes over and hugs me. "I'm so happy right now." He whispers in my hair. "I'm so happy as well." I whisper back. "Lets go tell everyone." I say as I get ready to leave but Leon grabs my hand. "Wait there is something that I've been wanting to do for awhile now." Leon gets on the ground with a box. I'm shocked right now. "Violetta, I know that we are young, but I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you accept this promise necklace that promise I will never leave you and we will marry one day." I nod and get up to hug him. I turn around and he puts the necklace on me. It's gold with a gold L on it. "Now we can go tell our friends." He said and we walk towards the studio.

Our group of friends meet us in the zoom to congratulate me for getting my memories returned and for Leon and I making up. "Lets sing!" Fran says to Cami and I. We go up and sing "Friendship Code".

Afterwards I hug them. "You guys are the best" I tell them. I see Mary walk in and I go to give her a hug. "What do you want Vilu?" She asks with her arms crossed. I back away. "What's wrong Mary?" I ask hurt. "You got my boyfriend arrested. That's what." She says angrily. "I had no choice!" People started to look at us. "Yes, you did! Why couldn't you let me be happy this once!" She yelled. I was taken aback. "Don't you know what he did to me and what he would have done to Leon!" I yell angrily. "He almost raped me in Spain! He beat me when I didn't do something his way! He was going to kill Leon and he almost killed me!" I scream at her as the tears run down my face. "So no Mary, I had to do this to protect myself, Leon, and you!" I yelled. She walks over to me and smacks me across the face. "Don't ever lie about my boyfriend again Violetta!" She yells in my face. I look her dead in the eyes. "Don't worry I won't. He is already in jail for what he has done, and will stay in jail because of my testimony." I say. The anger in her eyes grow. She starts to punch me. "Mary!" Both of us look to see Fede staring at us.

"What are you doing to Vilu! She is your younger sister! Your are supposed to protect her not beat her up!" He yells running over to me. Leon gets on the other side of me to help me up. "How can you side with her Fede! She never gets in trouble. She is daddy's little girl! Anything she wants she gets without question!" She yells at him. "I love her Mary because she is family, and family protects one another. You've shown that you don't want to be part of this family so leave because I'm pretty sure you lost all of your friends that are in here.

Mary looks around to see most of our classmates looking at her in shock. "This is all your fault Vilu! You did this!" She yells as tears go down her face. "I didn't do anything Mary, and I won't tell Dad what you have done. You've already lost too much. Just go, and I don't want to see you till you've changed who you are." I state. Mary runs away crying. I start to feel lightheaded so I sit down. Fran, and Cami help by giving my medication to help. "I can't believe Mary would do this to you Vilu." Fede says. "Tomas has changed her." Cami said and everyone agrees. "Leon, I think I'm going to go home." I tell him as I look up. "Okay, lets go." Leon says. "Wait we'll come with you." Fede, Fran and Cami yell. We nod and head to go home.
When we arrive at the door, Leon kisses me goodbye and I give a hug to Cami and Fran. When Fede and I walk in the door, we see dad and Mary sitting on the couch. Dad looks at me with sadness and anger in his eyes. "Violetta! What do you have to say about hurting your sister!" Fede looks like he is about to punch Mary. "What did Mary tell you Dad?" Fede asks. "Fede you have no part in this, you may go." Dad says. "No" my dad looks at Fede. "No, did you just say no." Fede looks at him and nods. "I said no because you are accusing your youngest for something she didn't do. All of our friends can verify it was Mary that hurt Vilu, and it was Mary that almost made her pass out." Mary's smile turns into a scowl. "Vilu sit down." Fede told me. We both sat down on the couch and I look at my father.

"You know dad, I thought that I could tell you everything and you would believe me." "You can still tell me anything Vilu it's..." "it's what dad! You don't go up to a parent and say hey dad my day was fine but I almost got raped by my boyfriend oh and he beats me if I don't listen!" I yell at him. His mouth is open "you mean Leon..." "No Dad! It was Tomas! Tomas did this! He tried to do it in Spain and when he could do it here, he went after Mary and tried to hurt Leon and Fede! Why do you think that Leon was beat up that day! TOMAS TRIED TO THREATEN OUR FAMILY!" I yell at him. I can't control myself anymore and I start sobbing into Fede. "You see dad. Vilu would call me from Spain to talk to me so I knew everything. She didn't trust Mary for good reason and she knew hat you would keep her locked inside the house. The better question that I have to ask is why Mary didnt tell you She beat up Violetta today at school." Fede said with a smirk on his face. Mary is shocked.

"Is this true Mary? You said Leon did this to you." German asks quitely. "It is true daddy, they are just protecting Leon." She said crying. I glare at her. "Oh, really Mary. Then why does Vilu have all of these bruises that you inflicted at her party we threw for regaining her memory." Fede asked. Mary looked down. "I can't believe you would go soo low Mary. Especially since she just got out of the hospital. I'm very disappointed." Our dad says. "Typical Violetta plays the victim and someone else takes the blame. I'm so glad that I could finally hurt daddy's perfect baby and actually deserve it!" She yells. Our dad looks shock. "I'm gonna go call one of business friends in Spain and see if we can transfer you over there to a music boarding school. Maybe there you can learn respect and family values when you come back for vacation." Our dad says as he goes into his office.

Mary glares at us and stomps upstairs to pack. She is leaving tonight and won't be back till the summer. "Your safe now." Fede says and I nod. "All we have to do is make it two more months and then it is graduation." I nod again. "Hey Fede, I'm lightheaded, I think I'm just going to go to bed." He nods and helps me up the stairs. I get ready for bed and just lay down and start to think. I think about me and Leon our future and remember our promise to each other. I think about Mary and how I've lost her, but all of the family and friends I've gained. I'm able to drift off to sleep soon afterwards.
