We were the first customers in the diner, but people came swarming in pretty quickly. We sat across from each other in a booth with a jukebox.

"Get what ever you want Holly. I have our finances all under control.", I pulled out a wallet filled with money.

"How did you get all that?", she questioned.

"Well I kinda stole if from the orphanage, I know the safe combination.", I responded.

"Oh.", she said with her lips smacking together.

"Johnny?" she paused, "Is this a date? You know like how a boy takes a girl out for a meal at a restaurant, that's a date. So are we on one?" Holly asked nervously.

I looked at her in astonishment. Did she really asks me if we were on a date. I mean Holly was quite beautiful, and she was really nice, and I care about her a lot. Her eyes were twinkling.

I let out a "Umm... Yeah."

She looked down at her placemat and and smiled. Her eye lashes fluttered, and her cheeks blushed.

"Johnny I hope you know I don't date bad boys.", she giggled in a gasp.

A older woman in her 40's came over to our table and took our order. Holly ordered blueberry pancakes with strawberries and cream on the side, and orange juice. I ordered a garden omelet with toast and milk.

When our meals arrived we started to devour them, we were so hungry. I looked over to the television on the counter and we saw on the news report a man sitting at his desk. The headline was "Escaped Children From Local Orphanage".
