"Woody baby! How does garlic bread sound?" Gabby yelled from the kitchen catching me off guard. Shit better yet catching me on guard because the last thing I needed was for her to walk into the room and see me knee deep in my phone trying to find a way to text from a blocked number.

It had been days since I had last seen or heard from Zora. I was actually very surprised to awake the next morning and find that she had left without saying goodbye. That was strangely out of character for her. But I had chunked it up to the fact that she had stayed out longer than intended. And was probably understandably in a rush to return home.

"Sounds good!" I yelled back turning into myself even more out of precaution. Cradling my phone at my waist just in case I need to hurriedly shove it into my pocket. "I love bread!" I awkwardly added rolling my eyes. She knew good and got damn well I couldn't have garlic bread. I had been on a diet for the last few weeks in preparation for my next role. But if it kept her in the kitchen any longer than hell yeah to that.

I opened my messages and scanned over the dozen or so messages I had sent to Zora only to be left as undelivered and not responded to. I kept wondering if perhaps she had actually just cut me off at this point. And if she had there was nothing more to do then accept it. But would it kill her to at least acknowledge me and let me know that she was indeed ok. Especially after Jean had called me the next day looking for her.

That was completely unexpected and nearly caused your boy to have a mild heart attack. I thought I had been caught red handed. I could feel my invisible tail curl up in between my legs. I had made up every excuse possible in my head to justify why I was sleeping with my bestfriends girlfriend. They were all trash at the end of the day. Even if I had allowed myself to fall for her.

Once I noticed Jean had called out of sheer concern I quickly found myself sharing the same concern. He went on to tell me about a fight the two had the night before. He wanted to vent but by the time he finished up I was barely listening and to busy texting Zora to be a lending ear. She didn't mention they were having problems that night. And now I myself was worried about where she possibly could have gone. She wasn't with her parents and she wasn't with Kirsten. So where could she be.

And I've been worried ever since. I hadn't heard from Jean and was tempted to call him, fake a whole conversation only to casually bring up Zora and her whereabouts. That would be my next move if I couldn't figure out how to call her from my blocked number. "Taste this!" Gabby whispered yelled entering the room causing me to fumble my phone. I quickly picked it up and placed it in my pocket. But not before garnering a suspicious look from her.

I watched on as her shoulders fell and her right brow rose. This is what I had been attempting to avoid but the bitch was way too light on her feet. I honestly felt like at one point in her life she used to steal or some shit. Because who tip toes at all hours. "Let me see. Let me see." I sang playfully rising to my feet and gesturing for her to place the fork full of spaghetti to my mouth. She hesitated for a moment before obliging. I rolled my eyes into the back of my head before playfully smacking on the pasta. "Fire!" I admitted. It was good. That wasn't even a lie.

"She told me you'd like it." She whispered casually turning away. I grabbed her arm softly once the words that left her lips resonated.

"Who?" I asked trying not to sound alarmed.

"Zora." She replied as if that wasn't the strangest shit that could have possibly left her mouth.

"You talked to Zora?" I was now attempting to hide my dismay. If she didn't cut the bullshit and tell me the extent of their conversation I was sure Gabby was about to meet a side of me that very few people had ever the pleasure to.
