Chapter 5: The Stray

I wake up to my alarm buzzing along to the song "Thunder" by Imagine Dragons. 'Great,' I thought to myself, 'another day of school.' I climb out of bed, wash up, and put some clothes on. I chose a pair of jeans with a taco patch on the right pocket, a shirt that had a taco on it and says "let's taco 'bout it", and lastly, I put on a pair of red converse.

I step down the hall to get to the cafe to get my morning coffee, and on the way, I see a black and blue cat. I look closely at the cat and see that it has no collar. Who's cat is that and what is it doing here? A few seconds later I see Anna passing by the hallway so I call her over and tell her my situation about the cat.

"You should keep it in your dorm, but remember you have to know whether or not your roommate is okay with a cat."

"He'll be alright with it."

"How are you sure?"

"It's Asher. He's fine with anything unless it's extra homework."

"So what are you going to name her?"

"Um, how about Star?"

"That sounds great! Well, I'll see you in class, I guess."

"See you around!"

I take the cat to my dorm and put her in a carrier that Asher had from when he had to catsit for extra money. I went to my car and got ready to go to PetSmart.
