a Spencer Christmas

Based off a Christmas party I went to at my best friends house

Speakers blast Carol's speaking of Christmas cheer,
Sitting at a dining table with people who moments ago were strangers.
My best friend beside me and new ones all 'round,
a dinner of Turkey and potatoes, a potluck of sides.
Dessert has come around and my stomach is already full,
But my plate now holds cake and cookies and even a few truffle balls.
A tinsel tree laden with white decor,
Gifts in bags and a few are wrapped.
The time has come for secret santa,
Gifts and guesses tossed around.
Every wrong guess, a shot down the hatch,
If you were driving you got to hand your shot off.
The Christmas cheer is here, a very festive atmosphere.
