Spike awoke in a dark cavern dug into the moist earth. He last remembered seeing Rarity... or what he though was Rarity... come into the library. And then there was... another mare who shoved him into a bag. Everything else was kind of blurry, and he remembered something that a beautiful mares voice said. Something like: "you will soon be who you are destined to be..."
He sat up and noticed a shadowy figure sitting right outside of the cell he was in. He wanted to know who it was but didn't want to get hurt. He stood, and stayed put. The figure started to move, and the ponies head turned towards him.
"Hello Spikey Wikey..." a familiar voice spoke smoothly.
"W-w-who are you?" Spike stuttered.
"Oh. You don't recognize me? Why, your my precious Spike!"
"Rarity?" Spike asked.
The figure walked out of the shadows and into the light, the mares face illuminating with light. He saw a black unicorn with a large, curly, purple mane. It WAS Rarity.
"Hahaha, I see you recognize me now..." Rarity said. Spike must have had a shocked look.
"No. No. Your not her. You.... you can't be," Spike whimpered.
"Well. I am Spike. This is the me that I am meant to be... come. Why don't you join me?" Rarity snickered.
"No. I will NEVER join you. Your... your a monster!" Spike cried.
Rarity suddenly bursted into tears, whimpering with her head between her arms on the ground.
"Rarity," Spike spoke quietly. He only received more crying.
"Rarity," he said again with a firmer voice. Once again, just tears.
"Rarity!!!" he yelled, he needed to talk to her. He WANTED to talk to her. He must talk to her. He suddenly felt something happen to his feelings about Rarity. He decided to try one last thing.
"Rarity I will join you if you talk to me," and finally her head perked up, her mascara running. Rarity wiped her face and fixed her makeup.
"Alright then," Rarity snuffled. "Now, I will open your cell if you walk with me Spike. Don't leave my side or you will get into bad trouble," her eyes glowed an evil red.
"Um... okay," Spike answered. Rarity opened the cell and Spike walked right behind her. He kept falling behind as they walked, so he had to run to catch up.
"Where I'm taking you is super secret, okay? You have to listen to everything I say," Rarity instructed.
"Alright," Spike agreed, and they disappeared into the shadows of the hallway.
