a/n: I know I don't include a lot of notes but I have made some noticeable changes to the show's plotline in this chapter. It is regarding the consequences after Roman finds out about Peter and Letha, and it will also include our Mariana. I have done this on my own morality and while I still don't condone certain actions, it is more acceptable for me to include this in my writing, and I thank you all for reading. xoxo.

Not long after Chasseur left, Mariana had driven home, stopping at her workplace to pick up food for dinner, texting her dad when he asked if her practice was over. Nicole came over to talk to her while she waited for her order.

"Hey cutie, it's been a while, when are you coming back?" she asked with a smile, wiping down the bar with care.

"Hopefully when I don't have practice five days a week," Mariana smiled, leaving out what she has been up to on the side. "It's nice having a break though, school has been stressful this year,"

Nicole nodded in understanding, "Yeah, we can't stay open past eight o'clock anymore, after all of these murders, it's not safe for anyone to be out."

"There's a curfew?" Mariana asked, surprised.

"Of course! Those poor girls were murdered overnight, I guess the police think keeping people inside will help, and they must be right because we haven't had any more killings since the last one," she said, moving out of the way when one of Mariana's co-workers brought out her take-out bag.

Mariana thanked them, and as she was driving home, she started wondering why the vargulf hasn't killed again. Everything that has been going on, she never once stopped to ask herself that. Her dad was setting the table when she arrived home, and they sat down to eat immediately. Miguel was rather quiet, eating without a word while Mariana stared out the window.

"Mija, I don't pry in your life, do I?"

Mariana stopped chewing, watching as her father gave her a sorrowful look. It was hard to read him at times, but she knew what was coming. "No, you never do,"

"I just ask that you don't stay out all night, especially after things have been going lately, at least without calling your father first," he said softly, giving her a gentle smile. "I worry about you more now than I ever did, and after Brooke, I just want you to know that I'm always here for you."

Mariana smiled at her father and placed her hand over his. "I know, you're the best dad ever. And I didn't mean to leave you in the dark, I guess my mind has been all over the place lately," she mumbled the last part.

"Just be vigilant, and if you ever feel unsafe your dad will come and kick someone's ass,"

Roman was enraged.

He sped down the street, screaming at the top of his lungs. He felt betrayed; Peter, Letha, Peter again.
