I really like Matt. The whole thing with hayes was just terrible. But Matt made me feel better, and I think I'm starting to have feelings for him.

"Hey babe, is it okay if I stay the night? I really don't want to stay at hayes's house" he says clenching his jaw, it was so freaking sexy

"Of course, I'll set up the guest room for you" I say leaving the room

"Cammon babe, let's get out, we are still going out" he says grabbing my hand and literally dragging me out the door

"Ugh why is he out here again" Matthew says under his breath

"It's okay, let's just leave him alone-- wait, is he crying?" I say getting a little worried

"He's fine, he's a big boy" Matt says rolling his eyes

"im going to go check on him" I say leaving Matthew standing there in shock because I'm going to talk to hayes. He needs to calm down.

"Hayes, are you okay?" I ask sitting down next to him

"No, Evelyn. I really actually like you. Gianna was my girlfriend. But I broke up with her because I was going to ask you out, but then Matt came in the picture and you fell in love with him. I invited Gianna over because I got really jealous. I'm sorry Evelyn, please forgive me" he says looking up towards me with his watery red eyes

"Hey Ev, you should forgive him. I've done the same thing before. Plus, you two are meant to be together. I was going to tell you I think we should be best friends. And only best friends." Matthew says looking at his feet

"Oh thank god you feel the same way, I was going to tell you the exact same thing" I say. A just breeze of stress came off me

"Hayes, come here" I say motioning him to give me a hug

" I'm so sorry Evelyn, this will never happen again" he says wiping his tears away

"It's okay hayes, we weren't even dating" I say making him look me in the eye

"Oh Evelyn, that reminds me, I need to talk to you about some stuff later, will you meet me in my backyard at 7 for dinner?" He asks me politely

"Of course hayes" I say

"Go have fun with Matt" he says giving me a huge bear hug

"Thank you hayes" I say in the crook of his neck

"What are you thanking me for?" He says confused

"For apologizing, it meant a lot to me" I say giving him a reassuring smile

"Ev we should get going" Matthew says as he grabs my arm leading me to the car

"Bye hayes" I wave goodbye with the other arm that isn't grabbed by Matthew
