I left hayes house to change and meet Matt in my back yard, I don't know what was really going on, but Matt seemed like a nice guy, so I said I would.

---outside my house---

"Hey, Evelyn" Matt says smiling coming in to hug me

"Hey, so um why did you want me to meet you out here?" I asked pulling away from him

"I want to get to know you! Camon, I'll show you my secret spot behind hayes's house" he says grabbing my hand, I gladly take it.

"So Evelyn, when's your birthday?" He asks running his fingers through his hair

"Actually, it's in a few days, it's the 26th if December, obviously haha"

"Oh my gosh! It's the day after Christmas! Wow" he says excidently

"What do you want for your birthday? And Christmas?" He asks so enthusiastically

"Umm we'll I like money, a lot" I say

We both start bursting out laughing

"Haha Evelyn, can you promise me something?" He asks on a serious note

"Sure Matt, anything" I say

"Please promise me that we will be best friends no madder what, no one will ever come between us"

"Oh Matthew lee Espinosa, no one could come between our relationship, I love you best friend" I say holding his hand

"I love you, bestfriend" he says giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"We should go shopping tomorrow and get matching t-shirts!" He says as he jumped up

"Haha totally! I think I should go back to my house now, it's 1:45 aha" I say as I start to walk back

"Okay, yah probably. I can't wait for tomorrow, best friend"

"Haha same bestfriend. Oh hey, I need you number!" I say sounding stupid

"O M G I forgot! Here" he says handing me is phone, I punch my digits in it

"Thank you bestfriend, I'm glad you agreed to meet me out here, I had a lot of fun with you, can't wait for tomorrow" he says bringing be in for a hug, kissing my head bring me in for a longer, more comforting hug. We sat there like this for 5 minutes. I know we just met but I already love this kid. Not how I like hayes, but as a best friend like. I need a friend that's a guy that understands that I just want to be friends, and Matt understands that, that's why I love him
