On Childhood ADHD

When I was younger I was really bad at sports, but that's probably because I had virtually NO exercise when I was young.

There was always a reason why I couldn't play with my friends. My grandparents being paranoid grandparents thought if you climbed on the monkey bar for even a second I would cartwheel and do a 360º flip and be cut in half by the monkey bar pole.

ouch.

Because of the lack of exercise, I had really bad hand coordination, and I was like the sloth in Zootopia when I tried to catch a ball, or fall on my face when I tried to run.
Even so, I was an extremely jittery child and would (how do I make this not sound weird) move my body when I could.

My mom was obviously appalled by this and sent me to Novena for "motor-training" which was basically a centre where people did some tests for you and threw balls at you and asks you to catch them. Thats like Secondary school, but the balls are on fire, and you are supposed to juggle 8 of them at a time.
Anyways, I digress.
I thought the training was for normal people who needed exercise, but I found out years later that it was a class for children with ADHD  to train their motor abilities. #talkaboutshook

The test results came back and luckily, I didn't have ADHD, but am just REALLY bad at sports
(I'm not sure which one is worse at this point).
When I was younger, I was extremely embarrassed by this and didn't dare to tell anyone. (I thought that my mom had sent her perfectly normal daughter to the mental asylum!) But now that I look back, I realise that its ok to be not-so-ok at times and I tell this story as one of those party stories to show people that I

1) am extremely perseverant
2) am extremely obedient
3)  have improved a lot and am a lot sporty now

Yes, shameless like that.
