He ran his thumb over the top of my hand as I looked down at them, "Just as long as it doesn't take too long," I said, watching his smile grow

"Hold on tight then!" he said taking a step back before running

"Wait! Jacob, I don't have shoes on!" I screeched as he leaped over the gap between the two roofs, pulling me along with him. As we landed, I stumbled over him, grabbing onto his jacket tightly to try and gain my balance again: my heart calming down as I held my breath, "Not so bad aye?" he chuckled, with one hand I smacked him over the shoulder roughly, "YOU GIT!"

"Born and raised!" he laughed

"Don't worry, I was kind of like that too when I started," he added, wrapping his arm round my waist, holding my breath again I gripped his jacket more, "Just don't bloody drop me..."

"I'm hurt that you'd think I'll so such a thing," he said in a mocking voice adding a fake tone of sadness, looking away from me and up at the higher room in front of us he coughed "Just hold on tight," as he held his arm up and a high pressured rope shot out of his gauntlet, it hooked up to the roof and started to pull us up, making me yelp. It wasn't long till we were back on our feet. The wind was colder and more frequent up here due to how high up we was, the music box melody was louder than before as Jacob moved out of my grip and ran to a small wooden box on the floor. Picking it up he hummed a little to the song, wobbling up to him I grabbed hold of his jacket again and looked at the box in his hands, "See... Music box," he opened it, letting out the beautiful music.

It was mostly empty inside apart from a small gray disc that had his belt buckle symbol carved onto it. He tilted it towards me so I could see, gently taking it out of his hand I ran my fingers along it "What's with the pattern?" I asked handing it back to him

"It's my creeds symbol..."

"Creed?"

"Assassins were all Assassins in the creed. The symbol is just a mark I guess." I nodded my head, finally understanding what It meant, "so you and your sister..."

"we're both assassins, yes,"

"Your fighting skills make sense now,"

"So, I'm skilled to you know?" he chuckled leaning in with a mocking tone causing me to roll my eyes in a playful manner. Bending down I picked the wooden box up, looking at the silky wood lid. "You can keep the box, I only needed the disc," looking back at him, he had sat himself down with his feet hanging off the edge of the roof, "It does have a pretty song," I smiled opening the box again and listening

"I guess so," he mumbled patting the space next to him

"Sit down then..."

"Oh no, no, no! I need to get back, Mr. Jacob Frye! You said so!"

"Well you can't get down without me, sooo, sit down" he smirked as I sighed and sat down kicking my feet over the edge, sitting the box onto my lap. Looking around I noticed the sky was much clean and bright up here, all the smog was below us slightly and It looked amazing, "wow..."

"Add this to the list of things you've done,"

"I didn't expect it to be this clear up here,"

"There's many things you don't see while on the ground," Sitting here and seeing all this got me thinking. Thinking at how much I have missed being all locked up in my house.

I hugged onto my knees and rested my chin on them with a sigh, catching the assassins attention "what's gotten you so upset all of a sudden?"

"Not upset..."

"care to explain then?"

"How are you and your sister so free to do stuff? a couple of days ago I wasn't even aloud to leave the house on my own!" I said as I waved my hands about slightly before hugging my knees again, "because we choose to be, you have the right to do whatever you want! that man can't keep you in that house forever," I looked over at him to see how serious he had become about the topic, "Become a rook! you'll freely do what you want with the exception of me being your boss from time to time!"

"That would be an offer I'd take... but I cant-"

"Bullshit!"

"I'm serious Jacob! I can hardly stand the sight of my own blood let alone protect myself!"

"I can help you! that's what I'm here for!" it got quiet for a bit as my thoughts trailed off before Jacob stood up, "You shouldn't let yourself be trapped like an animal," he said holding his hand out too me. I sighed and took it, having him pull me up. He again asked me to hold on as he climbed down back to my window, "Thank you for taking me.."

"Thank you for helping me find it," I turned to climb back through my window but was stopped when he grabbed my shoulder, looking back at him, he sighed "Come to me and Evie and we'll help you... don't keep on living like this." I nodded slowly while looking him in the eyes, the seriousness flowing through them, he patted my shoulder again before climbing up the roof. After awhile the sounds of him climbing away were silent and i was left alone.

Climbing back into my room I sat myself down on my bed and hugged the box,

Thinking about his offer...
