Still

I have lost my right arm,
My left kidney
My right lung,
and half of my right eye too.
But I still smile.
Because I am still alive.
I may not be able to hold my grandson.
But I can still see him,
I saw him go to preschool
And taught him to love arithmetic.
I still smile because this fall I will walk my last daughter down the isle.
Because I am alive,
That is reason enough to smile.
