Failure

I do not talk in the house,
For it is no longer my home,
though I live in its walls.
For what do you say to a family, and a mother who thinks,
At 22
You are a failure.
For you are someone with no money,
Barely a job,
A lifelong illness,
And struggling to finish school.
Are you nothing but,
A failure.

For what can you say inside the walls of a place they call home but you call a house.
A place where words are as impactful as they are at an empty grave.
What can be said except failure,
That is what you are.
For you are failing to use your words.
