New beginnings.

Skylar's Pov
Today was the day that marked a new beginning. A new start, a new life in New York City. We had just moved here from Texas due to my dad taking on a different work place opportunity. A new start meant meeting new people, and socialising wasn't easy for me; I suffered with social anxiety.
I stepped out of bed, taking a glance at myself in the mirror. I sighed at my reflection in the mirror. I applied a small amount of makeup and changed into a pair of jeans and a BMTH jumper.
I grabbed my backpack and waved goodbye to my parents.

"Sky,my dear aren't you going to eat?" My mom called
"Not hungry mom" I called back
"Make sure you eat at lunch,have a lovely day" she called back

I closed the front door behind me,looking at my surroundings,i grabbed my headphones and placed them in my ears,pressing shuffle. Soon later I was stood outside my school,i sighed,slowly becoming anxious. I kept my head down,focusing on the music blaring through my headphones,as I'm trying to find the school office I accidentally bump into a girl,her books fall to the floor and she crouches down slowly picking them back up,i take my headphones out kneeling down and helping her.

"I'm sorry" I mutter

"It's okay,i haven't seen you around before,are you new?" she asks smiling as she takes the books from me

"Yeah,im Skylar" I greeted

"Bea Miller" she replies smirking

"Do you want me to take you to the office to collect your time table?" she asks shyly

"Yeah sure"

"So tell me about yourself?" she asks with a big smile on her face

"My names Skylar,but people call me Sky,I've just gone 16 years old,my favourite music consists of rock mainly Bring Me The Horizons,All Time Low and Green Day. I've just moved here from Texas,i don't have any brothers or sisters,Erm I think that's it" I giggle shyly

"Well Sky me and you are going to be the best of friends" she giggles her cheeks turning red

"Here" she adds signalling that we've reached the school office

I knock the door

"Come in" the receptionist calls

"I'm here to collect my timetable,im new" I speak up shyly

"What's your name?" she asks looking up at me

"Skylar Grey" I respond

"Here you go Skylar" she says handing me my time table

I thank her and exit the room,seeing Bea stood against the wall with a massive smile on her beautiful face

Did I tell you about Bea? Well,she had short blonde hair and big brown eyes. She was skinny and short,but cute. She always wore the biggest smile on her face,she was gorgeous

"Sky?" she called,knocking me out my trance

"Erm sorry" I mutter blushing as I realised I was checking her out

Her face is red

"So what was you thinking about?" she adds

"Nothing" I blush

She frowns but brushes it off

"Let me show you something" she responds grabbing my hand,running down the corridor

A teacher shouts from behind us,but Bea ignores him and leads me outside

I'm greeted with the most beautiful sight,theres a small lake,surrounded with trees and flowers
