Epilogue

The first that I saw her I know that I would fucking lose it. "Joaquin, I told you to hire a goddamn nanny. Someone who's not..."

Joaquin waited for my words. Wala akong nasabi. "Young and beautiful?"

Sure, that fucking teenager is beautiful. Her brown eyes speak thousand words. The way she looked at me reminded me of purity, something pure that was trying to survive in this world.

I just hate how I pay attention to things sometimes. Working in engieneering, owning a company that produce high income would always make you assertive and calculative. Business is business.

"Change that fucking nanny, Joaquin. I'm telling you, change it." Unfortunately, Joaquin didn't listen to my words.

Sila ni Gina ang tumayong guardian ko noong lumalaki ako. Even my son adored them. It's like if I hate Joaquin, then I hate Gina and then I hate Enzo, and that new nanny.

Para akong villain na talaga. I saw changes with Enzo when Sunshine as my son fondly called her became her nanny. Enzo doesn't like to go out because of paparazzi whose hunting the kid for stories about their mom.

There were things that I don't even like to talk about. And one thing is about Enzo's mom. My son asked me once about his mom and I told him she was dead, after that he never asked again.

Ngayon lang ulit siya nagtanong. "Daddy, will I call Ate Sunshine, mommy?" Damn, I can't help but smile.

Pinaupo ko si Enzo sa aking tabi. Raising Lorenzo was never easy. I was not even raised in a nurturing environment by my parents kaya nang dumating si Enzo ay para akong nagkaroon ng problema imbes na blessing.

But when I saw Enzo, crying and looking at me. I know I needed to be a better father. A better person.
"You could. Listen to me, alright. Daddy likes Ate Sunshin. And soon you will have a baby brother or sister."

My son's eyes widened in amazement. "But she isn't your wife yet. It should be marriage and then baby, right?"

Natawa na lang ako. At tumango. Ginulo ko ang buhok ni Enzo.

"Some people they don't follow the conventional pattern, you know the usual marriage then baby. As you grow older, you would know some people they came from different family, others they don't have a mom but no dad. They would have a dad but no mom."

I raised my son and talked to him a mature way. Hindi epektibo ang mga galawang baby talk kay Enzo. He pondered for a momen then nodded.

Nakausap ko na rin sina Gina at Joaquin at mukhang napagtanto nang dalawa na may nangyayari sa amin ni Sunshine. While her talkative friend doesn't need to be informed dahil nakikipag-usap naman na ito kay Sunshine. Even that bullshit George Alfonso was jailed for helping drug syndicates in Iloilo.

I know that man have fetish in sex. We used to go together in Vortex but I quit after Luna died. I wasn't able to find any evidence of his sexual immorality but drug case would be enough to convict that fucker and his license revoked.

"I can't believe that you will settle down." I've heard Joaquin said to my side one morning when I was looking at Sunshine and Enzo. Her pregnant belly of two months was starting to get big.

"Why did you even hire her?"

"She was young and beautiful." Joaquin said. His eyes were happy as he looked at Enzo and Sunshine. "I'm getting old Laurent, sometimes I just wanted to do good things and be philosopical about it like I wanted to make a difference with this person's life because I saw her pain."

I know that Sunshine, Jane. I like calling her Sunshine better. She's very young and as I'm getting older.

Our age gap was never been an issue for me. But for her it's a big thing. Like when I asked her for dinner tonight.

She was wearing this black dress and flats. Her long silky brown hair was freely flowing on her shoulder. She looked so beautiful.

She squinted her eyes. "Why are being extra these days?" naitanong niya. Two months after I confessed, she could confront me directly.

"I'm just sweet. You're thinking too much again." Nasabi ko na lamang iyon at saka pinaupo siya sa mesa.

I just prepared a dinner for her at the back of the mansion. There was this French tent that I built and dinner tables were set up inside with glittery bulbs, in different color. It was fucking straight up from childish teenage movie.

No matter how much she would deny it. Sunshine likes it. I reminded myself to not forget that she's young. Ayokong nakawin ang kabataan niya sa kanya.

Nagpatuloy kami sa pagkain. It was damn funny as her eyes squinted and she looked at me closely. Her big tits almost giving me full view.

Her doe-eyed eyes widened. "What are you doing?" mahina niyang sabi. Her tears brimming on her eyes.

Binuksan ko ang laman ng maliit na box. She gasped with the diamond ring. "I'm not good at this, will you marry me?"

Tumaas ang kanyang kilay. "No sweet words? Confession of unending love? Or something."

"I haven't you heard say it, Sunshine." I could feel that she loves me but fuck if I don't like to hear it. "I love you, Laurent."

"Bakit ngayon mo lang sinabi?" I asked. She laughed and accepted the ring. She put it on her finger.

"I don't know. I just want to break that usual when men confess. Women should say, 'I love you too'.
"Actions are better." I agree with her. I nodded.

"Why do you want to get married with me?" I hummed and she waited for me to answer. I stood up and guided her to stand too.

I hold her waist. "I don't want you to be insecure in our relationship." She bit her lower lip.

She looked at me with those hopeful eyes. Yes, baby. I guessed I was fucking whipped.

"I'm very excited for the baby. And the wedding." Hinimas ko ang kanyang tagiliran.

"I'm very excited for the wedding night." Napuno ng halakhak ang buong tent. She looked so happy while looking at me like a sunshine that could lit up the whole room.
