Nate gently placed his hands over Mark's ears, not wanting the sound to wake him.

The same boring news lady was on again, with a new set of papers. "This is News 13, I'm Chloe Diamond, reporting with, " The dark-haired girl motioned to the young girl beside her. "Kaitlyn Fowles. Today has been a tough day for a family of five when they saw their 3 children's organs sold out to the black market just a few days ago. Police say it's the work of the Yeetus Ferris clan and all evidence points to being so."

Chloe then starts to speak. "Speaking of that wretched clan, I'm happy to say that everyone in that c-" Chloe paused, and put a hand to her blue tooth receiver. "Y-yes?! Oh... Um, do I have to say it?" She asks into the receiver. She sighs and looks back at the camera.

"Well... I was about to say that the police caught everyone... But... One of them escaped. The mastermind of it all-" The TV turned back to static as Chloe was about to say the name.

Nate's body tensed as he watched the report. The one man that mattered most. Of course, that had to be the one they missed. He could only pray that they would catch him. As much as he reassured Mark they were safe, he truly didn't know himself. He felt a panic attack coming on, though he quickly pushed it away. He felt a bit guilty, seeing as he had told Mark he would stop ignoring them. But he didn't want to disturb Mark or worry him more. Carl couldn't possibly know where they were, right? What were the chances of him finding this exact hospital, let alone getting in, and finding their room?

Nate held him gently, curling up slightly in his arms. He could only hope for the best. If Carl were to show up, he would be defenseless. Nate couldn't even stand without collapsing less than a second later. He was useless.
