Even though Mark couldn't breathe, he still had hope. He still had strength. He still had Nate.

His mind flashes back at the other hospital where Carl had called him. Mark vowed that he was gonna kill their clan until their hearts stopped beating.

And Mark never stepped down from that claim.

"W-we're getting out of here, baby.." Mark says, trying to sit himself up. Though he immediately fell, coughing. He winced in aching pain, but he still wasn't gonna give up. He had promised so many things to Nate.

"I promise I'll be there.." Back before the accident.

"I promise I won't leave without you.." Back before the kidnapping.

"I promise that I'll stay strong.." Before he got molded into Carl's frequency tricks.

He didn't keep any of his promises, but Nate had kept his. All of his. He needed to make it up to Nate.

He tried again, and finally got himself against a wall, panting. "We're leaving, baby. Come on." Mark's knees shake as he tries to pull himself up. He grit his teeth, and inhaled the longest breath he could ever take. Thankfully a coughing fit didn't emerge this time. He smiled, and held Nate's hand. "We're leaving.." He says, pointing toward the door.

Nate watched with wide, tear filled eyes, seeing his lover get up. It was a bit awkward holding Mark's hand, seeing as both his hands were restrained behind his back at the moment. Though despite that, he intertwined their fingers, never wanting to let go. He paused as he glanced down at he legs, unsure if he would be able to hold himself up. Only one way to find out. Though he certainly struggled to do so, Nate gripped Mark's hand, pulling himself up. He immediately leaned against him for support, though he smiled a bit, glancing up at his lover. Last time he had seen Mark, he couldn't even stand for less than a second.

Mark smiled, walking them both to the door. He nuzzled Nate, leaned against a wall, searching his pockets for something.

He then brought out a set of keys, all labeled. He fiddled one of them in, and the door opened with a click. He smiled. "I did some research in my free time." When he was back in the operation room, Jessica had accidentally spilled out crucial information while mumbling to herself. Even though Mark was knocked out, his brain still kept it just in case.

Mark kept against the wall, and peeked his head out. F***. Jax was there... And with Carl?!

Mark quickly pulled his head back, and his knees start to give in. He needed to think of a plan, and quick. "N-Nate.. Go limp. Now." He orders.

Nate's eyes widened at the sudden firmness in his voice, not expecting it. Though he nodded, quickly doing as he was told.

Mark quickly fell onto his knees, not minding the pain that immediately came after. "NATE!!! PLEASE.. WAKE UP!!" He wailed, fake tears streaming down his face. Techincally they weren't fake.. They were there since the beginning.

Carl and Jax perked up, and quickly ran to Nate's cell. "What's going on?!" Mark looks at Carl with tear filled eyes. "I-I don't know! N-Nate j-just collapsed.." Jax picked the limp Nate up, and took him to a room, Mark following him, a grin plastered on his face. "Be critical Nate. Make it look like you're dying." He mouths at Nate, hoping he'll get it.

Nate gave a slight nod, small enough that Jax wouldn't notice. He squeezed his eyes shut, weakly resting against Jax's chest. He took in a shaky breath, immediately forcing a small coughing fit after.

Jax was confused. "W-what?! He was just fine back at the car.." He glanced over at Mark, then back at Carl. "I'll take care of this, sir. You go and talk to our client." Carl raised an eyebrow, but quickly ran out.

Jax then brought back Nate to Mark's room. Mark quickly brought in more tears. "Please.... Please save my boyfriend..." He cried on his shoulder as Jax placed Nate on the hospital bed. "I'll try my hardest." He glanced at Mark, and he bit his lip slightly. This felt familiar..

"Please sir!! Please save my boyfriend!! I'll do anything, just don't shoot him!"

Jax cried as the snipers continuously shot at Lucas, his boyfriend. The love of his life.

His eyes widen as his boyfriend's body falls limp, blood dripping out of the multiple bullets they had killed him with.

His knees were shaky as he slowly walked over to Lucas. "Luke? Baby?" He asks, his voice cracking. He moves his boyfriend's shoulder, but he doesn't make a move.

Jax wipes away a stray tear, then looks at Mark, his brown eyes returning.
