Unexpected Love (Jai Brooks Fanfic)

New home, new sights and new faces - Chapter 1

-ELLIE'S POV-

"I was so happy to be finished unpacking", i thought to myself as i looked around my new room with a big grin spreading across my face. I was so delighted when i found out we were moving, I could start afresh and forget the past. Well, at least try to.

Me and nana were going shopping today to buy me some new clothes. Which was well needed, as i had pretty much grown out of all my other clothes. I opened my wardrobe and scanned it for something to wear. 

I pick out a white sleveless crop top with the words 'Wild Spirit' written across the chest and throw it onto my bed.

Then I look further down my line of clothes and pick out a pair of light pink high waisted shorts and from the bottom of my cupboard i pulled out my converse.

I quickly changed into the clothes, grabbed my white iPhone and my small brown handbag and ran down the stairs to see my nana standing by the door looking at her watch.

She looks up at me "What took you so long Ellie?" she said noticing that i'd changed.

"I was getting changed." i said as i hopped down the last few steps and stood there waiting for her to open the door and leave. 

"Well, what are you waiting for?" I said looking between her and the door.

She laughed and walked out the door with me following close behind.

We headed to the nearest bus stop and waited for a bus. We didn't have to wait long, infact we only had to wait about 30 seconds and the bus arrived. We hopped on and chatted the whole way to Melbourne city centre.

We arrived at the centre after being on the bus for about 10 minutes. We hopped off of the bus and started looking for some shops.

I found a shop that looked very farmiliar, it was one of my favorite shops back in the UK. I turned to my nana who was looking over at another shop. 

"You can go over if you want, i'll just be in here if you need me." i said motioning her to go over to the shop.

"Alright then, but be careful!" she said as she walked to the shop across the road, i nodded and headed into the shop.

I was greeted by a smiling girl, probobally around the age of 18 wearing a pair of blue hotpants and a white top that had 'Hollister' written in black letters across her chest.

"Hello, welcome to hollister." she smiled at me and i smiled back. As I walked into the shop I realised that I was in the mens side of the store. As soon as I realied I quickly turned around and walked straight into someone.

I fell to the ground and hit my head off of the side of a stand where t-shirts were displayed. i rubbed my head and opened my eyes to be greeted by a boy who was kneeling next to me looking at me and apologising repetedly.

"It's okay i said to him, it was my fault!" and he replied "No it was mine, but i am sorry, how's your head?" he held his hand out offering to help me up. "It's fine." I added.

"So... what's your name?" the brown haired boy asked me, cutting the awlward silence.

"I'm Ellie, but you can call me El." i replied with a smile spreading across my face. 

'He's quite hot.' i thought to myself, 'Infact really hot'

-JAI'S POV-

I felt like an idiot, i just bumped into this really hot girl causing her to get hurt. I'm such a idiot!

"I'm Ellie, but you can call me El." she said, answering my question with a really cute smile on her face.

I smiled back and held my hand out, "I'm Jai, Jai Brooks. It's nice to meet you, even though i just injured you." she giggled at my statement. 

"Nice to meet you Jai" she replied holding out her hand for me to shake it. 

I don't know why, but i had butterflies, you fucking idiot, of course you have butterflies, she's hot!

"And it is great to meet you too." i hold out my hand and shake hers, her hands were soft and her nails were painted a light pink, to match her shorts.

"Listen i have to go, but would it be weird if i asked for your number? i'd like to see you again." I smiled at her, my cheeks turning a little bit red, scared incase i got rejected.

"Hmm, i'm not sure, we only just met." 

"Well, maybe we could get to know each other?" Why did i say that? I sounded well gay, what a chessy ass pick up line. I held put my phone, she hesitated before taking it out of my hands and typing in her number.

"Okay then, i suppose you make up for giving me a huge bump on my head." I looked at her forehead and she had a small bump on it.

I reached over and touched it lightly "Are you sure your okay? that looks really sore." i said worryingly.

"Yeah, it's a bit sore, but i'll be fine, i'm actually just going to meet my nana, so i'll be okay."

"You sure you'll be okay?" i wanted to make sure she'd be okay, it did look pretty sore. What a dickhead i was of course she had to be hot too, what an actual fuckface.

 "no, i'm going to collapse at any minute" she said sarcastically with a smirk on her face.

"Okay okay, no need for the sarcasm. I guess i'll see you around then?" she noded we said our goodbyes and i went deeper into the store to find the boys, Beau was chatting up one of the girls that worked here and the others were goofing around trying on bikini's and laughing at eatch other.

I walked over to them but all i could think about was this girl i had just met. Her long brown hair and the way she smiled, it was all just so adoreable. I was pretty happy with myself getting an absolutely gorgeous girls number.

-ELLIE'S POV-

What had just happened, i never give my number out to people that i've just met. I have trust issues I have since that incident, but i dunno, i just felt comfortable around him, maybe because he was so  kind and sweet about bumping into me.

'What a cutie pie' I thought to myself walking to meet my nana.

He was quite hot, infact he was really hot in my opinion, and he asked me for my number. That does NOT happen often. I am not that confident with boy's after my past. I shook that thought out of my head.

i felt my phone vibrate, i grabbed it out of my pocket and unlocked it, it was from a random number, it read 'hey, it's jai:) are you okay? just making sure;) xxx' aww! what a sweetheart, i tapped the reply button and replied with 'oh hello stranger;) haha, i am fine, will you quit asking or i will have second thought's about meeting up. xxx'

It wasn't long until i spotted my nana standing outside the opposite shop, waving frantically at me shouting "ELLIE, I'M OVER HEEERREEE!" i waved back and walked over to her and just as i met her i got a text.

"What happened to your head?!" nana said touching and prodding it.

"OUCH! nana that hurts! i just bumped into somebody is'all." i shrugged as i opened the text.

'is that a threat?;) haha, so, wanna meet tomorrow? i'll call you later. xxx'

I replied saying to call me around six o'clock and walked off to the bus stop with my nana, who was still panicking about me getting bumped into saying stuff like "Oh, if i knew who that was i would have squared them up." I laugh.

My nana was very protective over me. Considering my early teenage years weren't the happiest of times for us.

I shake of fthe thought as we grab a bus home, deciding i would just go shopping online and go home and rest.

HEY GUYS, this was quite a short opening chapter just to introduce you to the story.

I should update every saturday or sunday, but i think i might upload the second chapter tomorrow, if i have time.
