You know, its pretty crazy.
My life is already an open book to a very large set of audience and now, it is about to be exposed to another group of people, including you reading this. So technically, there are two groups of people who I would be documenting my life's journey for.
The first group is my forty five thousand YouTube subscribers and the second group is the collection of the readers of this book. Does this make me feel special? Absolutely not. I just believe that my mistakes and good judgments, my failures and successes, actually, everything about me should serve as a lesson to as many as are interested.
By way of introduction, my name is Alex Ajayi, the first child and only son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Ajayi, though my father is late. No, dont pity me; I already got enough doses of that when my subscribers learned of that information. We hail from Mushin, Lagos state and one of my biggest troubles in life is my sister, Esther. Im sure she took an oath to make my life a living hell. I am a graduate of the University of Lagos, where I studied Chemistry. What the hell am I doing on YouTube then, you may ask?
Trust me, it is not the lack of a good and well paying job. My family is more than connected to make that happen within days. I took to YouTube about two years back when I was a final year student and in search of myself. Have I found what Im looking for? That, my dear friend, is debatable.
Well, on my channel; Colors of the Sun, I document via videos, important and non important aspects of my life. Anything goes. I've been asked on several occasions why I chose that name for my channel and I can bet you're thinking the same thing too. You're not? Well, whether or not that's on your mind currently, the truth is, I have no idea why I did pick that title. It just came, met me in a good mood and here we are.
I can promise you one thing. This book would expose you to the life of a YouTuber and inferentially, that of an individual who is social media savvy. But the shocker is, that is not the actual aim of the book itself. I'll leave that to you to find out.
I post videos every Mondays and Fridays to start and end the week and I go live on Saturdays; the best part of my hobby-turned-job. I would not only be writing about times when I make and upload my videos and what they all mean, I would also be letting you into my day to day activities, those that are important, and of course, those that aren't. Lol. Did I just write "Lol?"
Are you ready to go on this adventure?
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Ok, here we go.
"Who is it?"
My bedroom door just opened.
"Get off that laptop and come have breakfast."
"Really Esther, that's how your parents taught you to say good morning?"
"It seems your stupid brain forgot that we have the same parents."
"Whatever. Get out of my room."
Geez! That girl is a handful. Right now, I beg you to allow me check my social media handles and see what is popping. Meal can wait.

What?! I cant believe what I am seeing. I just saw a notification that my mum commented on my last Facebook post. Not good at all. And it was on the link I shared to one of my video tags: My first crush. Whoever said accepting that woman's friend request was a good idea?
