Domino had fallen asleep in his chair. He was slouched and unprofessional looking. Suddenly the door to his office burst open.
"Mr. Domino!" Quarts said, but he found him asleep in his chair. "Uhh.. Mr. Domino?" He wouldn't wake up. Quarts poked at his face. "Mr. Domino, wake up!"
"Huh? What's going on?" Domino woke up.
"Mr. Domino! Uh, great to see you sir!" Quarts said.
"Who are ya? Never seen someone like you here!" Domino said
"Oh! I'll be glad to introduce myself. I'm Quart-"
"Quart? No wait lemme guess... uhh.. Quarter?"
"Sir, my name is Quarts.."
"...Ohh! Quarts! Like the rock right?"
"Sigh, close enough. I came here to discuss about your 'warlock' thing.." Quarts said.
"Ah, that.. Yeah that's just kinda, eh, stupid. I don't really wanna discuss it right now. 'Sides, how'd ya get in here anyway?" Domino said.
"This is important sir, I believe you need to know this.." Quarts said
Domino got up to speak.
"Ugh, you're gonna tell me if I lie I gotta drop out!
I know! But I'm tryin' to tell ya It's not-"
"No sir, listen to me for a second please!"
Domino gave him a look and sat back down.
"I'm. Listening."
"I believe you on the warlock thing. Now here's why.." Quarts said as he showed him his wrist with a watch on it.
Quarts tapped the glass of his watch carefully, and there was a ripple, almost like water.
There was a second of fear in Domino, as the building shook and lights appeared and disappeared. And then all at once, it was like time had stopped. It was because it had stopped. The clock, was no longer ticking. The cars outside, they were no longer moving. Even the birds, suspended in mid air.
Domino gazed upon all this, and then looked at Quarts in awe.
"I, am a warlock too, sir."
