👑Chapter 14: Carlos and Ella👑

Carlos' P.O.V.

The following day after we helped Ella, I decided to spend the day with her since Mal had some love spell business with Ben, Evie had class, and Jay was off either being a ladies' man or doing some Tourney.

Ella had decided to spend the night with Evie and Mal in their room. I informed Ben and he was reluctant about it, but I reminded him that my friends, mostly Evie wouldn't allow him near her until he opened his eyes. He decided to let Ella stay with them.

I still didn't trust him fully with Ella, because he practically neglected her and that's something I wasn't okay with. She already had me wrapped around her finger and I just wanted to protect her.

Right now, I was with Dude, walking around Auradon, holding Ella's hand.

"Carlos, can we go get ice cream and the dog park?" she asked.

I smiled at her. "Sure, Els. Let's go."

I picked her up and I walked until we ended up at an ice cream stand. I ended up getting a chocolate flavor while Ella got strawberry. After getting our ice cream, we began walking to the dog park.

"So, are you going to be queen when you're older or what?" I asked.

"Mommy told me that when I turn 18, I'll become queen. I wanted to go to school first. They want to find me a husband, but I want to find him on my own." she explained.

"Wow, that's interesting." I said.

"Can I tell you a secret?" she asked.

I chuckled and placed a hand on her head. "You can tell me anything."

"I've been having dreams of this boy. He has black hair and light blue eyes. He can control blue fire and he tells me that I will make a good queen and that I'm pretty."she explained.

Wait, what?

"What's his name?" I asked.

"Holland. He's the son of Hades. In my dreams." she explained.

I knew Hades didn't have kids, so maybe it was just a dream that she was talking about that she would grow out of. However, I remembered talking with Trent and Janessa and they mentioned they saw each other in their dreams and it was revealed they were soulmates.

Could Ella have a soulmate out there? If so, she can get out of an arranged marriage and live her life.

I suddenly felt an urge to protect her if this boy ever hurt her. Why do I feel this way? Every time I'm with Ella, I feel like I know her and it's killing me to know.

When we got to the dog park, she whistled and two of the dogs from before came running to her and her eyes lit up.

Good thing we finished the ice cream.

"Hi!" she said as she began petting the black dog and the golden one.

I laughed as we sat down on a bench and I had Dude on my lap.

"Who's a good boy?" she asked the black dog, kissing his head.

He barked in reply and she smiled, hugging both dogs.

The golden one placed his paw on my lap and I chuckled, scratching his head.

Dude barked and licked him on the side of his face and it was honestly very cute.

"This is fun!" Ella shouted as I pushed her on the swing.

"Glad you're having fun!" I replied.

"Can you catch me? I want to jump off?" she asked.

I hesitated. "I'm not sure, Ella. I don't want you to get hurt because of you do, Ben won't let us hang out."

"Come on! If Jay can do it, I can too!"

I sighed before getting in front of her. I got into position before I spoke up.

"On the count of three, jump. Okay?"

"Yes!" she replied with a big smile.

"One, two, three!"

She jumped off and I caught her in my arms. Ella's eyes lit up as she gasped. "That was fun! Carlos, it was fun! I did it!"

I smiled as I set her down. "You sure did."

I set her down and I turned around, seeing the guy I least expected.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"I came here to take my sister home so I can talk things out with her. I thought about what you all said. You were right. I've been selfish. I have been putting my duties before my family. I talked about it with my parents, and we're going to try everything we can to make sure we spend time with her." Ben explained.

"Ella?"

I looked at her as she looked at Ben. "You promise? I want my brother back."

He nodded. "I promise."

I smiled at her before I let Ben take a hold of her hand. "If you hurt her again, I won't play nice with you." I warned him.

"I won't, Carlos. I promise." he said, slightly afraid.

"Bye, Ella. I'll see you soon." I told her.

"Bye, Carlos." she replied before they walked off.

As I turned around, I walked back to the dorm before I saw Evie there. "Oh, Carlos!"

"Yeah?" I asked.

"I was wondering where Ella was." she explained.

"She went back with Ben. He's saying he's willing to change for her, but I highly doubt it." I explained.

Evie sighed before nodding. Suddenly, her eyes widened.

"Look!"

I turned before I felt a pain in my head. "Ow!"

I saw her shove something in her purse before she smiled. "I got to go. See ya!"

I chuckled lightly as she walked off. "See you."

Okay, that was a bit weird.
