I woke up the next morning with a major headache.

"Nick, wake up. I don't feel so good."

"What's wrong? Do you need to stay home from work today?"

"If I stay home, who's gonna earn the money?"

"..... I know you're feeling bad and I will just make it worse but, STOP! Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Stop acting

Like it's all about you, because it's not. It's about Chloe and how we are going to take care of her."

"I'm still going to work," was all I said.

When I got to work, I grabbed a cup of coffee, said hi to Joe, and went to my office.

"Now, let's see,".... I logged into my

Email and saw 22 in my inbox.

"Trash, trash, trash. All I get is spam and trash!"

"Wait a minute, what's this?"

"Re:Babysitter?"

"I can't believe him! How could he send the ad on Craigslist without letting me check it out?"

I opened the email and saw that the girl's name was Haley and she was interested in the job.

"Hello, Mr. And Mrs. Jacobs, my name

Is Haley and I am interested in the ad on Craigslist for the babysitting job. I don't have any referrals because I'm 16 and this would be my first job. I did babysit my younger sister at times, though. I would really appreciate it if you would email me back or set up an appointment for me to come see you. I will tell you a little about myself now,

I am a typical high school girl. I do track, cheerleading, volleyball, and soccer. I am a very athletic person, you could say. I have one younger sibling, my sister A.J. I have my mom and my step- dad. My real dad is in jail. My mom says it's because he kidnapped me when I was little. I don't remember that because I was about 3, at the time. If you will, please contact me soon. I am getting a 3 month vacation and would love to make some money for doing what I love, which is taking care of little kids."

"Hmm... Let me text Nick and see what he thinks of Haley."

I got up, threw the rest of the coffee away, and sat back down.

Ding!

I looked at my phone.

"Yeah babe, she sounds like a good person! Why don't we make an appointment?"

I emailed Haley back and set up and appointment with her.
