As they drove towards town they started to feel safer. It was a Thursday evening and the town centre was slightly busy. Being a coastal town it was often a lively place when the weather was good and it was nice to drive through somewhere that seemed exciting away from the horror they were experiencing. They decided to park up near the beach and go for a walk and leave Trixxy in the car.

'Do you think he will be ok in there?' asked Tony to Steph.

'He should be fine, he seems nervous of me at the moment,' replied Steph.

'I have left the top window open,' said Kirsty as she locked the car and they walked down towards the seafront. It felt peaceful there with the gentle sound of the waves crashing against the seashore and with no clouds they could see the moon and the stars. There were a couple of people walking along but it was otherwise quiet. The four of them didn't say much but just enjoyed the quietness of it and stood close to the sea.

'It's so nice here,' said Kirsty 'we are so lucky to live by the sea,'

Steph looked out to the sea and then started to feel anxious and then stepped back from it.

'Are you ok?' asked Kirsty surprised at Steph's sudden change of behaviour.

'I don't know,' replied Steph anxiously 'I have never been too keen on water,'

In fact she never minded water but was not keen on swimming but the sound of the waves made her anxious for some reason. Then a large wave came towards them and she ran back terrified.

'I can't be here!' she said as they followed her feeling surprised 'Can we stay near promenade?'

She felt slightly better being away from the sea but was feeling surprised at herself. Even though she had not liked swimming much she had always liked the beach and never minded going into the sea as long as it was not too far in but the thought of water made her feel uneasy. Maybe it was because it reminded her of the fact they needed to protect themselves with It was what put her off. After a while they decided to head back to the car. It was past 9.00pm and Kirsty and Neil had to be home by 10.00pm on a week night. When they opened the door Trixxy hissed at Steph as soon as he saw her. Steph sat back in the front feeling slightly offended but understood why he had been like that towards her. She had a feeling that the entity was close. As they drove back Steph suggested they make a turning down a side road.

'Can we drive round here please?' she asked Kirsty.

'How come?' asked Kirsty still feeling surprised at her.

'Just want to see this way,' replied Steph.

'We can do as long as it's not the long way back,' said Kirsty as she turned into the road Steph suggested.

'Maybe go this way, after the next road,' suggested Steph and Kirsty had taken the next turning and they drove through a road they were not too familiar with.

'That’s it!' said Steph as she pointed towards a building and Kirsty stopped the car. The building they were looking at was a large Victorian building that looked slightly run down but might have originally been an attractive large house. The place looked slightly spooky and although wasn't abandoned as such it seemed like it needed renovating. Then Tony saw a sign by the made gate that said 'Burlingham House'
