The rest of the afternoon at Steph and Tony 's house seemed to go by with no problems although Steph remained mostly quiet and slightly withdrawn.
'You know, I want to stay in my room tonight,' said Steph to Kirsty 'I am tired of trying to hide from it, it is my room and I want to stay there tonight and I'm tired of being scared. We can all stay with me in my room,' she suggested.
'If your sure that’s what you want we will stay with you,' said Kirsty to Steph so they decided to move their stuff into Steph's room to spend the night. For the rest of the evening nothing seemed to happen and they spent most of the time watching TV. Steph seemed half asleep most of the time but otherwise seemed relaxed.
'Is it ok if you sleep next to me tonight?' Steph asked Tony 'It's just I feel safe having you with me,' she said 'You would be ok staying on the mattress on the floor with Neil?' she asked Kirsty.
'That’s ok with me,' replied Kirsty 'I am sure Neil will keep me safe,' she said as Neil agreed. Eventually Steph soon fell asleep with Tony next to her who was holding one crucifix while Kirsty and Neil stayed on the floor with Trixxy at the end of the mattress and a Crucifix between them.
'You feel safe with me then?' Neil asked Kirsty as she lay next to him.
'I do, I'm glad you're keeping me company,' replied Kirsty 'I am really worried about Steph, she hasn't been herself at all tonight, it's like whatever it is, is slowly taking over her,'
The house was quiet and felt eerie and felt cold but Kirsty and Neil soon feel asleep and the house remained quiet for a couple of hours until Kirsty and Neil were woken up by the cat who had crawled up the mattress next to them. He started tapping both of them with his paws trying to get their attention. Both of them had strange dreams themselves which was strange as normally in their own houses they slept well.
'Neil, can you hear something?' said Kirsty as Neil sat up.
'I had this really weird dream,' said Neil sounding confused.
'So did I,' said Kirsty 'It was of this dark person or something, like what Steph told me about,'
Both of them had dreamed of a distorted person dressed in black being surrounded by shadows similar to what Steph had dreamed about two nights earlier.
'I think I had dreamt something like that,' said Neil as the bedside table light started to flicker and then there was the sound of footsteps. Trixxy started hissing towards the door as the footsteps got closer and then sounded like several footsteps. Both of them froze in terror still confused from the dream they had and noticing the room was freezing cold.
'Do you think Steph and Tony are awake?' said Kirsty quietly. Neil looked up and noticed they were both sound asleep.
'They are still asleep,' he said to Kirsty just as the light went out. Kirsty grabbed Neil terrified. The footsteps then got louder and then stopped outside of the door and went silent for a couple of seconds and then the door burst open to reveal a shadow like mass and walked right up to the bed Steph and Tony where in and the cover got pulled off them. Kirsty screamed and the crucifix Tony had been holding was pulled straight from his hand and was thrown across the room and landed on Steph's dressing table and burst into flames. Tony and then Steph both woke up at the same time.
