"What movie are we going to watch?" yelled Kayla.
"OMG, no horror movies. I'll die." cried Kendal.
"No you won't drama queen." I said snottily. I love Kendal to death, but sometimes she was such an annoying little bitch.
"Ooo! Guys, my friend Eddie is coming tonight. He's new here and doesn't know anyone, so play nice Mira. You guys will love him." Kayla said.
"I am nice. There was no reason that needed to be directed towards me." I snapped. I don't mind people or anything but she could've at least let us know that there was a stranger joining our movie night. We've been having these movie nights since we were eight. The same people came everytime. But not this time.
"Haha, no offense Mira, but you are definitely not nice." Nick grimaced.
"Keep yourself in control and keep your boyfriend in control." Kayla said to me.
"Hey, I'll be nice, but no one can get Jonah to be nice." I laughed.
"No one but you. We all know that." Kayla said as she rolled her eyes.
"What is that supposed to mean?" I snapped. I knew exactly what she was talking about but it pissed me off that she was bringing this up once again.
"Nevermind." Kayla snapped back.
"Okay... So tell us about eddie." Nina quickly said, trying to change the subject.
"He's just eddie, I don't know." Kayla says avoiding eye contact.
I quickly realized what was happening here. "You want to get in his pants." I yelled.
"Well, I haven't really had anyone and he's nice. So maybe." Kayla blushed.
"Go for it dude." I said encouragingly.
"Because I need your approval?" Kayla yelled.
'"I'm being nice. What is your problem?" I said slightly quieter than her.
"I don't want you to mess this up." She said.
"Again, what do you mean?" I said.
"Are you going to pretend like you didn't steal Jonah from me?" She yelled.
I was about to retaliate but Kayla was lucky I heard footsteps coming down the stairs, and I went on my phone to avoid making eye contact the the stranger that was about to show up at the bottom of the stairs.
"Hey Eddie! Come, sit, meet!" said Kayla.
"Hi guys, I'm Eddie, but Kayla already said that..." he said.
He said down, and with my luck he plopped down right next to me. I refused to look at him.
            "Hi." Eddie said
I sighed heavily and looked up. What I saw was not at all what I was expecting. "Hi, I'm Mira." I said. I couldn't bring myself to say anything else. He was so hot. His beautiful smile made me melt. His deep chocolate colored eyes were mesmerizing. "You have really pretty eyes." I muttered.  I quickly realized what I said. He probably thinks I'm so creepy. I looked around the room hoping nobody else heard me say that. But of course everyone's eyes were on me. Kayla tried to pretend not to here but it was pretty obvious she did because she was giving me the death stare.
"Thanks." he smiled. Crap, he heard to.
"Hey Eddie, I'm Jonah." Said my obviously jealous boyfriend. "Hey babe." He said leaning in for a kiss.
I turned my head away from him and said " I thought you weren't coming."
"My night opened up." He smiled. That smile could make me melt in seconds, but I was pissed off at him.
"Good to know hanging out with me is your backup plan." I whispered hoping no one but Jonah would hear. I loved Jonah, I really did but sometimes he was such an ass. He was so self-obsessed and egotistical, but I've been dating him since I was in fifth grade, and I feel like it would be wrong to throw all that away, or maybe it's not and maybe I should.
"Okay, I'm playing insidious." Said Kayla.
I sat down next to Jonah as he put his arm around me. Sometimes our relationship felt so right and sometimes it didn't. I loved this movie, but I've seen it so many times. It was my first horror movie. I was terrified of them before I actually watched one. No one could convince to watch them except Jonah. He could get me to do just about anything.
"Best movie ever!" Nick yelled.
"I've watched this movie so many times I literally can't even enjoy it anymore." I said.
"First time I've ever seen it and I loved it!" said Eddie.
"Well, everything's good the first time." I replied.
Yeah? How was your first time." Said Jonah.
"Well, you would know, wouldn't you?" I replied.
"I'm officially turned on. Let's go home." Said Jonah.
I smiled at him and grabbed my bag. We said goodbye to everyone and walked outside. It wasn't cold and it wasn't warm. It was the perfect weather. The drive to my house wasn't far but it seemed to take forever because of the awkwardness that flowed between Jonah and I. I felt extremely relieved when we got to my driveway. "Okay bye." I said as I jumped out of the car.
"Wait. What's going on?" Jonah questioned.
"What do you mean?" I asked innocently.
"No i love you, no kiss, no decent goodbye?" he asked.
I ducked back into the car and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and started to walk into my house. I turned back and saw Jonah's face. He looked so broken. His life was hard enough as it is. I didn't need to complicate it more. I ran back to the car and kissed him again. I felt his cold hands gently touch my cheeks. "I love you always Jonah." I said as I lifted myself off of him.
"I love you too little girl." Jonah said as he wrapped his arms around my waist. "I have to get home though.
I knew he had to go and I knew why.  But I wanted him to stay. I want him to stay with me. I know how selfish that makes me but I miss him. "Yeah I know. Go. I'll see you tom?" I asked afraid he would cancel.
"Yeah I'll see you tomorrow Mi." He said.
I didn't want to get off him. But I had to. I hesitantly got up and walked to my house. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
