"Not going to lie, this looks a lot plainer than what I was imagining," Chase remarked once we were inside. There wasn't much in terms of decoration in the room. The only indication we had that this was the right place was a giant poster on the wall baring the tentative title to the movie.

"Valerie!" we heard someone call from the middle of the room. A girl around our age was waving her hands frantically in an attempt to get my sister's attention. "We've been waiting for you to get here," she added as we approached her.

"This is Madison. And these three next to her are Aiden, Timothy, and Rebecca. They're my co-stars," Valerie introduced us.

"I play Valerie's best friend," Madison the frantic said happily. She linked arms with Valerie and gave us a big toothy grin. The uncomfortable expression that flashed across Valerie's face almost made me smile.

"You must be Vanessa," Timothy exclaimed. He threw his arms open and pulled me into a big bear hug. I made no effort to hide the discomfort on my face.

Aiden smacked Timothy on the head and scowled at him. "You can't just walk up to a model and start hugging them," he snarled. Timothy rubbed his sore head while mumbling a quiet sorry under his breath.

"Well since you already know Vanessa, I'm Zac and this is Chase," Zac interjected.

"I've seen these three before but I don't think I've ever seen you," Rebecca commented. Her voice had a little bite to it making her seem a bit stuck up. Zac, of course, was not bothered in the slightest.

"That would be because these three lovely people are models and my chubby self is not."

Rebecca glared at him. "Then why are you here? I thought this was a private party."

"Not according to your outfit it isn't." The way Zac was able to say these things with such a genuine happy smile was honestly frightening.

Rebecca opened her mouth to throw out a retort but was interrupted by a voice coming from behind us. "Sorry guys the director called me away. What did I miss?"

Standing behind us was a very handsome man. He had short brown hair and a baby face. Glossy white teeth shown brightly behind his enormous smile. You could tell he was ripped simply by looking at the black shirt he was wearing.

"Hey Tom. This is Chase my boyfriend and Zac a family friend. And I'm sure you'll recognize my sister Vanessa."

Tom gave each of us a large friendly smile. His eyes lingered and he held my gaze for a lot longer than I expected. I gave him a small polite smile before turning my attention back to Zac. He had the happiest smile on his face while Rebecca looked as if she wanted to rip his throat out. "I'm just trying to keep the riff raff out," Rebecca sneered.

"Well sweetie the door is over there so you'd better get moving. Chop chop!"

Before anything else could be said I grabbed Zac's arm and began pulling him away from the group. "Come on Zac I see a party platter on the buffet table that's calling your name."

"Truer words were never spoken," Zac laughed as we left the group behind.
