22. My God Sent Angel

I know it's been a long time but I'm back!!!!! I missed writing and I know y'all missed reading this book! 💜

KoKo POV

I hopped out of my car barely even putting it in park and ran through the doors of the hospital not even sure which way I needed to go.

I stood in the middle of the festive decorated lobby trembling and it felt like at any moment I could hit the floor, my nerves were shot and I just couldn't handle anymore bad news.

But something in my spirit just wasn't sitting right and I had a bad feeling.

I looked around at the somber faces in the waiting room and a wave of sadness hit me like a ton of bricks.

Startled by the sudden vibration in my left hand I looked down and saw that Fatima was calling me.

"Tima" I said hearing the shakiness of my own voice

"Hey sis, you here yet?" She asked and I could hear the sadness in her yet forced happy voice

"Yeah, I'm in the lobby." I replied

"Okay, hurry we're on the 7th floor room 712"

"Alright, here I come"

I hung up putting the phone in the back pocket of my jeans.

I sighed and threw my head back looking to the ceiling feeling tears brim my eyes.

"God your will be done, whether good or bad father I'll trust you. Just give me strength to endure whatever the outcome may be"

I quickly wipe the tears that had slipped out and looked around for the elevator.

I saw it and quickly walked over to it and got in hitting the 7 button.

Leaning against the rail my fingers tapped it as I waited. My mind replaying the past year of our lives.

Blow after blow, it seemed like life just would not give us break.

Interrupting my thoughts I heard the elevator ding and noticed that the number 7 had lit up which meant I had made it to the floor.

But as soon as those doors opened it felt like I had cement blocks on my feet.

I slowly walked out of the elevator only to see a doctor talking to a family and the gut wrenching screams and cries that those ppl let out left me stuck in my spot.

The way that lady slid down the wall while crying with that man turned and walked away with tears in his eyes left me speechless.

I could only imagine the news they had just gotten, and my heart broke for them.

The doctor turned and looked at me and couldn't even muster up a smile, I noticed the pained look on his face and the tears in his eyes. As he nodded his head at me and walked away.

With my eyes fixated on that family I hear my name being called in the distance. Looking down the hall I saw Tima and Ky walking towards me.
