============

Logan carefully lowered Virgil onto the ground, strong arms releasing their hold as Roman repeatedly yelled;"YOu stabbed me with a fork! A FORK! a flip flapping, pancake Slappin, FORK!" Wings puffed up like a hissy cat. Virgil took a step back, his back itching underneath his hood-

"You kidnapped me!" Virgil huffed out in response to the other's hostile words, clearly sick and tired of the winged creatures yelling. While Patton wrapped up the loud ones injured shoulder. Soft precise hands dabbing away blood.

"If we assess what happened, I'd have to say you are each to your own responsibility for your actions. Hence both are in fault for what happened." Logan stated adjusting his glasses with one hand while the other one held Virgil back, his hand tightly gripping the purple one's hood.

"fine......." Roman sighed waving his arms in the air dramatically causing Patton to take a step back in surprise. Yet The said gesture didn't seem worthwhile due to the intense amount of pain that shot through the winged one's entire arm, thanks to the movement as the winged man hunched over in pain gripping his arm tightly. Damn, how much blood did he lose? Roman glanced down at his arm, eyes growing wide.

...... everything seemed to be in slow motion as roman kind of well fell over, his knees buckling out on him. His frantic gaze landing on Virgil as his head hit the ground, everything went silent upon impact..........

"Virgil what did you do, kiddo!?" Patton shouted rushing over to the unconscious one's side, logan following behind quickly checking the winged one's pulse. Virgil watched frozen in fear, how on earth could a simple fork do so much damage!!?? Logan let out a sigh of relief-

"It seems like he passed out from shock at the sight of his own blood" The logical one of the group stated, slowly scooping the fallen one into his arms. Shuffling him about until he was comfortable.

"I didn't, I didn't want to hurt him that much..." Virgil stuttered out a twinge of worry washing over him about his friend's disapproval on his actions. Patton sighed a knowing look on his face pulling Virgil into a hug, his own shapeshifted wings shrinking back down into his back leaving behind no trace of their existence as he calmed his friend down knowing that the anxious one didn't mean that much harm.

After a few moments of logan re-wrapping Romans wound up properly, the 3 friends set out for a long walk home.

---------------------(Time skip)

Logan carefully lowered roman onto the couch as Patton pulled out their broom sweeping up all the big chunks of glass. Then fetched their vacuum to vacuum up all the little bits making him look like the ultimate housewife. While Virgil watched as Logan began to unwrap the wound in an attempt to properly clean it. A feeling of dread burning deep inside vigils stomach, a pang of guilt in his heart as his eyes never left roman. Virgil just sat there fiddling with his hoodie sleeve not quite knowing what to do to help. A spike of anger filling his chest due to feeling so useless. Minutes passed by slowly for Virgil. Patton had finally finished sweeping the room and was now leaning against the wall rubbing his eyes tiredly while logan continued writing notes down his own concentrated expression giving way to his tiredness. Well, you see while they were busy rescuing Virgil and helping roman the time passed and it was no longer the afternoon, it was in fact, well "Bedtime".

Virgil sighed his body finally allowing himself to move-"I'll make sure he's alright. You two head to bed okay.." Virgil spoke Hands shoved deep down in his hoods pockets, body hunched over as he avoided all eye contact.

"If your sure kiddo, I'll be in my room if you need me," Patton exclaimed as he slowly dragged himself towards his room slightly stumbling in the dark. Rubbing sleep away from his tired eye's

"Very well then Virgil, alert us if anything happens." The vampire spoke. Mentally scolding himself at the fact that he didn't sleep at all during the day and now had to make up for it at night, his best time to do his research without being pestered by his friends. The logical one made his way into his room still bothered by his forgetfulness, while he told himself that he should pay better attention to the time.

Virgil stood there in silence looking towards the sleeping "Angel" His breath catching in his throat when his fatal realization finally sunk in, winged creatures work together as a pack. There was no such thing as meeting one with meeting their whole flock and with that one fatal realization, Virgil knew he had to get rid of him somehow. Obviously this man was sent to find him, hence why he instantly grabbed him. That had to be it. Princey here, needed to leave! Before he leads the whole flock to him.

The darker trait walked into the bathroom after watching roman sleep for about 2 hours. Flicking the lights on, both hands planting across the counter as he stared deeply at his reflection.

"So what do we know about him?... Well, we know we can't trust him." Nails pressed harder into the counter. "That there might be more winged creatures nearby...... Perhaps from my old flock. ." Virgil stated trailing off into a tangent of negative possibilities. His brows furrowing, while his eyes began to fill tears only for him to break out into a strangled sob, hands clenched into fists as he stared at his own reflection a look of disgust burning in his eyes-

"You're useless! You can't protect them from him, or The flocks, Not even Yourself!" Virgil yelled towards himself. His tears causing the makeup under his eyes to run down his face and drip off his chin onto the floor. A long-forgotten feeling bubbling up within his very core, his skin going cold as he felt the aching warmth of his blood pumping, the sound of it ringing within his ears like a slow heartbeat reminding him that he is very much mortal. He raised his fist, making contact with the mirror, feeling it cut his flesh as it shattered. Virgil just stood there staring deeply at the man that had failed him long ago and would now betray the ones he cared for, the tears in his eyes blurring the image that shone back at him cracked and shattered. Suddenly the lights flickered on-

"What are you doing. why are you still up at this hour Virgil, do you know how late it is?!" Logan stated, giving Virgil a stern stare.

"I am just simply confronting the person who ruined my life.." Virgil stated as he messily wiped the tears from his eyes.

"You are staring at your reflection though......" The vampire stated only to trail off as his eyes lit up in acknowledgment. "I shall leave you be then. To sort yourself out or should I get Patton? He is far better at helping people with emotions than I.

"No, I don't need Patton," Virgil replied with his voice slightly cracking. "I'm already feeling a bit better."

"Very well then."
