Chapter One.

'Daisy!!!' My richie rich mom shouted from downstairs.

'Wake up darling, we're leaving.'

'Don't be late' she said and I heard door getting closed.

I groaned and got out of my cozy bed. I checked what was the time and woww, I'm late for my first day at school's new session.

I showered and brushed my teeth as fast as I could.

I slipped in my new school dress and glanced at the mirror. I pulled my hair in a pony tail and wore my glasses, well my eyes.

Before leaving my room I rolled my sleeve up and traced my fingers over the cut I had made 3 days ago. It was still fresh.

I huffed and rolled my sleeve back. I walked downstairs to see my brother and sister are sleeping as usual. I poured myself a glass of juice and grabbed an apple.

I woke my step sister Suzzy up before leaving. She was my step sister and was a little short tempered but she was nice.

The bus arrived and to my surprise there were more people than usual for first day.

When I reached school, I could saw so many familiar faces, gossiping, giggling, high fiving each other. I wasn't in any mood of conversation so keeping my head down and walked towards reached my classroom.

The classroom was empty. 'LITERATURE SECTION' was written on the green board with bold letters.

Literature was my favorite subject and studying it was always my thing. I had a great interest in reading and writing.

I came back to reality when i heard a loud noise. Like something falling. I looked in the direction of sound and saw a boy on the floor, a bench tumbled over beside him. I ran towards him and helped him get up.

he smiled apologetically and I smiled back at him .He had light brown hair and sparkling eyes.

I just simply made my way back to my seat and looked out of the window.

Back in my mind, I was expecting him to say something, but he didn't.

Soon the class got filled with students, murmuring and chatting about their summer vacations. My summer vacations were more of an office trip planned by my dad and sponsored by my mother.

All the time either they were busy in meetings or parties or else dad shouting at me or mom Suzzy and me for our shopping.

I didn't enjoy it cause they didn't let me enjoy the beauty of nature there.

Pulling me out of my thoughts someone patted me on my shoulder. It was a girl with long brown hair and big eyes. She wore glasses too. And not to forget she was grinning.

'Can I sit here?' she said smiling ear to ear, made me wonder what is so funny.

I took a glance at the class, there was no place left for her to sit so I let her sit beside me.

'What's your name?' she said

'Daisy' I smiled back

'Ohh hii, I'm Veronica' she said.

'So, you're new here?' I said. I never saw her so just guessed.

'Yea, my father got transferred so I took admission here. Someone said that the Literature faculty is good here,' she started explaining.

I nod and said 'You'll like it here'

'Yea thanks' she said smiling. She had a thick American accent.

The classes started and they were all about our introductions.

The boy from the morning incident gave his introduction. His name was Louis I guess. As soon as the recess bell rang I smiled to myself. I grabbed my diary and some money. I bought a burger from the canteen and made my way to my favourite place.

It was a simple tree with a vertical trunk to get seated. I reached and hugged the tree. I always come here whenever I am sad, happy or tensed. This tree listens to me and also they never laugh on me.

The football ground was right in front of where I was sitting. Some boys were playing.

The ball came tumbling towards me . I was in no intention to kick it back and make fun of myself. A boy came to pick the ball and I realised it was Louis, the Morning guy. He bent down to grab the ball but his eyes never left mine. But I looked away. and started scribbling in my diary about my day.

The day ended soon and I went back home.
