What is art?
Is it the movement of a pen
Or a breathtaking image?
Assume what you must.
But really
It is what makes an artist whole.
Every little detail
Every line
Every sketch
It all matters.
There will be flaws, guaranteed
But that is necessary
For nothing is perfect,
Not even our works of art
That we treasure so dearly.
Whatever an artist decides to draw,
It is always good.
It expresses their creative means,
And that is OK.
Every inked line has a meaning,
A purpose.
So the next time you see an artist,
Complement their art.
Leave some nice feedback.
Because then
Maybe
You will make a new friend.
And maybe
Find out
What's underneath
That ink.
