To my readers, anyone going through hardships, breakups, one sided love stories and finally 13.5  💌

It was during high school. You liked this guy so bad, yet you never knew why. You thought about him, for so long and he was always in your head.

Instead of studying, you always tried to find a way to communicate with him. He was your 24/7 thought and to you, only he mattered.

[ You stared at him, and

He stared at another girl. ]

But that didn't bother you. Well, not for now.

Finally, you confessed. But he didn't say anything.

He didn't say he liked you back. Nor did he reject you. The relationship between you two was awkward and tense. Until finally, he confessed too.

You would usually jump up and down full of happiness at the thought of him confessing to you. He finally did it in real life. But you weren't jumping up and down now.

You were calm. You didn't know whether he really liked you or not and you started having doubts. You didn't know what to think.

You started shying out and keeping to yourself more. You kept thinking about the girl he always looked at. Maybe if you hadn't confessed, he would have kept on liking someone else. If you hadn't confessed, he wouldn't have liked you back.

You felt unsure and insecure, to the point you wanted to ignore him.

The question you always asked yourself- "Why do I like him?" became your rhetorical question where you couldn't even answer it yourself.

Soon, you told him that you were unsure of his feelings and he kindly said that it was okay. That you guys should stay friends until you guys were closer again.

He didn't ask for you back. He didn't grab your hand and say "Stay. I like you. I want you to be by my side. Don't go."

Instead, he took off with his own life. After weeks, what you feared the most came. He was with another girl- the girl that he stared at.

You thought to yourself:

[ He could've kindly rejected you and be more clear.

Instead he lead you on,

whilst his heart was going towards another girl. ]

You watched sad dramas, and through this, you gave yourself an excuse to cry. To spill the heavy burden off your chest. To spill all those feelings you once had for him.

[ You wanted to tell him that he was selfish,

That keeping someone on the hook

And giving them false hope

Would hurt them even more than rejection. ]
